Done the brietling, omega, longine ownership route then got fecked off with brands so bought this for a similar price
My main collection. Also just picked up an original Cartier Tank in Yellow Gold from the 1920's, currently being refurbished.
I thought Tag Heuer watches are just gimmicky ones, the ones to have are the original Heuer's. The same with newer Panerai's.
I've got a few Casio's. I like vintage Heuer watches but modern Tags' are a bit brash for my liking. A bit Essex boy made good, if you know what I mean. As for playing golf, whacking off on a piece of grass in some Rupert Bear trousers and then spending the day walking after the ball you've just hit just doesn't sound like my idea of fun. Each to their own, though.
Love my panerai, ok it's not the most expensive in the world but there's a nice simplistic feel to it and nicely weighted.
Although not in the same league I'm after a nice gshock for holiday wear, something rugged enough for pool, beach, kids and all inclusive piss ups
I'm yet to experience the helium release valve open on mine, seeing as it's rare that I am diving to 1000M or whatever it says! Would quite like it if it stayed running for more than 12 hours if left though! time for a service.. Sounds just like the Ducati!
man walks into a clock shop, goes upto the girl at the counter, flops out his tool and asks if she would take a look. the girl replies "THIS IS A CLOCK SHOP NOT A COCK SHOP!!!!) to which he says " I know but can you put 2 hands and a face on it"..... Slightly watch related....
I knew a chap who's father in law was very high up in TAG USA, he told me that some TAG models had internals that cost $3.50, that was back in 2000, so perhaps they now cost $4.50 to make; bit like Gucci hand bags that cost a similar amount to make and also cost hundreds to buy.
The automatic movements are pretty generic, you are paying for the case and brand, and they're no better than a Tissot, if you want proper quality compare a Rolex or a Patek to a TAG, there is no comparison.
