Anyone Know This Senna 748s?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by RC1, Jun 20, 2016.

  1. Why not contact the seller and see what you can come up with.
If it has the paper work for the new belts and the service it had this Feb you could phone the dealer up to check ? books are not always stamped.

  5. Not wishing to be cynical but a traded TVR Chimera I purchased from an authorised Mercedes garage came supplied with history including receipts and invoices, all of which turned out to be fake when I had to have the front calipers rebuilt by a TVR dealer who pulled the history to pieces. Trading Standards found that the garage was not culpable having suspected that the salesman was duped but they did the decent thing and took the car back. Only way is to confirm with a Ducati dealer what they know about the bike. Any non authorised service agent work will of course not show up. Andy

  6. This is my old bike , sold it after 12 years on eBay for 3.5 k with no service

Think bit high priced but I loved it

  7. Contact me if anyone wants details

  8. I've found an old brochure from 2003, the colour was called titanium grey. No mention of Senna colours.

  9. Agreed, I also have the brochure and it was Titanium grey, there wasn't a premium for it and interestingly Ducati took the strange step of selling the 748/749 and 999/998 all in the same year as they were all in the brochure!

Normally manufacturers bring out the new model and u can barely find a pic of the old one!

Maybe they knew something regarding the bold move they were taking.. Or just had a ton of stock left in production to be able to publicise it

  10. This is my bike chaps, it's a genuine bike - am a private owner who purchased on a bit of a whim as my last one was a Biposto and I always really fancied the Mono.
An unexpected upgrade on my other bikes (1098s to Panigale last month) led to a reluctant advert even though only recently purchased and would have let her go for right money.
However, after a crafty ride the other night have now decided to tax/insure and keep her for a while - owned several 748's and an SPS previously and this one rides better than all previous ones.
It also looks as though 'er indoors has lost count of the bikes in the garage, and a few overtime shifts mean my initial reasons for sale have now wained:grinning:
For info, the service receipts are all genuine and I've confirmed good history with previous owner of 12 years as well as Ducati UK.
Will be having the summer (if we ever get one!!) enjoying a few sunday rides, may consider future sale and if so it will be listed on the Forum if I decide to part with her (lost count of Ebay timewasters and dreamers)
    Thanks for the interest.
