  1. Now that's a charity I could get behind.
The two worst days of my life were the two separate days my bulldogs died.

  2. Bulldog Bash to Battersea Dog's Home - What's the pooch's name???

Only joking, hope you get him back on his paws in no time.
    Best wishes to your Woofer.

  4. I feel your pain. Its the right time to sell a sportsbike, so hopefully you'll get some good money. I would have given anything to save my cat who died in 2007 for Kidney failure. The fact that you are taking the option and trying to save him is very commendable indeed

  5. Yes, good luck mate and fair play to you. Dogs are far better company than humans and your lad looks a right character, bless him. Hope he gets better soon.

  6. I hope your much loved dog recovers. It was the last straw for me after a marriage break up and loosing my job, when my husky Kishka injured her spine and burst a disc. Luckily I had just sold our family home, so I had the funds. Cost me 7k but I would have paid more in a heartbeat. She has made a full recovery I'm pleased to say. That's why I have a 2003 999 rather than a 2011 1198s!
I would do the same again if I had to.
I really hope it turns out ok for you mate.

    Deaks

  9. 4 years old????........ damn........out of warranty

Good luck. Lost my Border Collie Glen last year. He was 14 though.

  10. Good name!
Is that in honour of Curtis?

It is a sad thing that bulldogs aren't the healthiest of animals. I lost Enzo aged 2, but Douglas at least lived till 10.

  11. were yours named of Mr. ferrarri and the IOM per chance Glidd??

My ex's cousin had a bulldog named Paddy after his late father..lovely little lump he was...farted like ivor the engine...ive grown up with staffies, my all time fave mutts...you cant beat a loveable short arse with a loving heart and a bad attitude towards bullshit...rather like myself in many ways...

  12. I hope you sell the Pani and get a decent deal for such a good cause.

I have a 17 month Northern Inuit and just last night he was playing with a GS when all of a sudden it looked as though they were ripping each others throat out. As I ran to separate them I realised the GS had a K9 caught in Kane's collar and twisted it so tight the he was chocking to death. After about 4 minutes of trying desperately to free him some how they became unstuck! Luckily he's okay had a bleeding nose and a sore throat but I tell you I have never been so terrified in my life! God knows what I'll do if anything were to happen to him. Like you say you can buy another Pani some other day but a dog is your mate for life!

I wish you all the best mate and I hope Mayfield makes a speedy recovery :upyeah:

  13. Are you sure they wern't "At it"?

  14. 17 month old NI conquest? Is your house chewed up! My lads a Czec Wolfdog, similar in many ways. His breed is wolf/german shepherd cross. I had a rude awakening when I got him at 7 weeks old after 10 years with my rottweiler. He chewed the place to bits. He didn't stop chewing until he was 2. He is so much more of a handful than my rotty ever was and he cannot be off lead in the same postcode as sheep! He wolf howls and hunts whenever he gets chance.
He is quite fond of his uncle shaun from where he came down in devon, this is him at about 8 weeks old Timber chatting with shaun ellis! - YouTube

  15. TBH Kane has been really good in the house, my car on the other hand is chewed to bits. He's good off lead but he has to go and say hello (sniff) every dog he see's!! He does suffer from SA but I think that's partly my fault as he comes with me to the Bike shop everyday! He is bred from Husky/GS but they now are known a a specific breed. I did look into the Czec but I desided on the Nitwit as they are easier off lead and they have less wolf instinct in them yet he will chase any farm animal going including horses which worries me as I live in bumble F&%K land Dorset and they're everywhere.

  16. He is a handsome chap, my rotty was also called kane. Timber has issues if he is seperated from the pack or the pack splits up. He will stand inbetween and howl and whine. He also is a working dog, currently lied beside my desk in the office creating toxic smells! He is ok with horses, luckily. Cattle are ok too as long as they do not encroach us whilst out walking or he will chase them off. He does have strong wolf instincts as you are aware. Something that requires careful consideration before taking one on. The breeder, responsibly, grilled me several times before allowing me to have one. He does not offer them anymore as he got too many back from owners who thought they could handle them!

(dewy, hope you dont mind us chatting away on your thread mate, kind of keeps the link active and hopefully someone will see your bike).

  17. Actually I originally just decided I would have a male bulldog called Douglas, because it was a good sort of bulldog name. I later justified it by saying it was cockney rhyming slang - a Douglas Hird.

Enzo was meant to be coming from Italy, so I thought an Italian name was in order. In the end he came from northern France, so I ended up with a British bulldog from France, living in Switzerland with an Italian name. Oh well. I just thought that Enzo was a cool name for a bulldog. A colleague liked Douglas so much he got a bulldog called Edgar. Top name.
