  1. I think you’ve made your point now dude.

Plenty of us with systems are fully documented and insured.

  2. From my experience the insurance companies don’t make it clear, they ask full system or end can, cosmetic or power gain etc. I’ve said many times full system and they just move on to next question.

If there is any grey area surely the simple answer would be ‘we don’t insure any bikes with an exhaust other than standard’ that would be clear.

If your in two minds about the RS then from experience …… buy it, you’ll always regret not having one..

  3. I've got a full system and can't remember if I disclosed this information to the insurance company or not.

That said, I'm something of the rebel. Only this morning, right in front of MrsGC, I placed my coffee cup on the counter without a mat under it.

This evening, I'm going to randomly throw plates into the dishwasher.

Loud pipe? Ha! I laugh in your face.

  4. Loud pipes are just boring and annoying for everyone except the rider (and even some of them get bored and grow up eventually).

  5. I couldn't care less if my bike is loud or quiet, the only reason I go full system is to get smoother torque and power delivery, and get rid of the hideous carbuncle under the bike.

  6. Would you care to share the source of such insurance?

I am sure there are very many people on here who would be greatly appreciative:upyeah:

  7. There is a thread on Pistonheads about race exhausts.
99% of the time , even in an accident claim, it will be fine but be involved in an accident where there is a fatality or life changing injury and the police will impound vehicles and they and the insurance company will go over it with a fine tooth comb to find a way to apportion blame and make a claim. As has happened to someone on there.
Once you have had insurance voided it will be very hard to get any quote for a long time I would think and the insurance company will come after you to reclaim their losses.

  8. And why would I do that?

I’d ask for more details but it sounds dreadful.
