HJC fit pretty well, the chaser does too tbh, and i find cheaper ones too, agv arent too bad. Saw nice flouri agv one today, flip front but locking mech didnt seem to work too well so passed. Ideally looking for something with built in Bt for my phone/nav
I went face-first onto the M4 at about 75 a few years ago wearing a Schuberth C2. Knocked the visor off but the front stayed in shape and didn't punch me on the nose. Even better the latch still worked to open the front, even with a dislocated thumb. Nasty hundred mile ride home with no visor, a bent Sprint and a thumb relocated at the side of the road while waiting for the ambulance. BUT .... I've now changed to a Nolan 104 and think it's a much nicer lid. Lovely fit, light, huge visor apperture and seemingly very well made. Lets a little water through the top visor seal in heavier rain, though, but there's enough room inside to tilt my head back enough to stop it running down the inside of the visor. I can mostly live with this. Stick with Arais for going fast when I'm not working, though!
Very funny! (Actually, that is very funny). Having said that a neighbour of mine's in his 80s and rides a CBR600RR, pretty quick as well.
I had an off last October and the Schuberth S2 coped brilliantly , scuffed on 2 sides and the visor (I don't recall kissing the tarmac but ... ) I was well pleased with the Schuberth for quality ect but it made my ears sore even after 2 years of waiting for it to" bed in" so I obviously didn't fit it perfectly (its worth looking on their web site to see their testing) . I have gone for an ARAI Chaser this time .
Apart from a Somoy that dissolved after 12 months I've only worn Aria for the past 12 years. Last summer when it came to a change I really wanted to try a different brand but nothing fitted my head as well as Aria.
I too know someone who came off recently when a car pulled out on him while wearing an expensive flip front, and the front gave way. He said he won't ever buy another.
