Brilliant race, looks like we are in a golden era again for talent (and balls!). Great to see VR take the chequered flag. Cal continues to impress IMO.

 

pretty much a new engine every race for aprilia in WSB last year

 

and more than one the last two rounds......

 

like he set up last years bike or the year before................

 

Watching WSBK today and looking at the proposed rules, Aprilia best make the most of this year as next they will be starting from the back having used all their engines up by June!

 

No problem next year, cos the motogp grid will be full of customer RC214Vs and leased Yamaha engines...apparently.

 

That is why aprilia are rumoured to be joining motogp next year with factory bikes.
They have turned the wick up on the ART engines and rubbed Ducati's nose right in it!!

Thats why the WCM got banned because they used an R1 as the base and modded it. Rules said it wasn't far enough away from the R1 to be called a prototype. Probably could have raced now as a CRT

What would you go to a fancy dress party dressed as..............i can see the relevance of this as apposed to what specifically was the problem with the ducati gp bike and why couldnt you and jerry sort it?

No, my response to someone saying that Rossi et al was making progress with set up and that its a finicky thing, was that he couldnt manage to do that with the ducati........given Burgess said he could sort the thing out in five minutes.....and that he has now said that he will take it to the grave with him....

 

I think it was Hayden recently and also Spalders said before that the adjustment on the Ducati was unlike any of the other bikes. If on a Honda or Yamaha you moved something 5mm you knew what the expected result would be. With the Ducati they reckon you can't predict the result.....

 

Not really. No one else had those Michelins whereas Loris was on the same Bridgestones as Casey.
