After watching JWW’s latest video on YouTube, DB11’s have now appeared on my radar again. Used prices have plummeted, so my brain is going into overdrive with the man maths. Annoyingly, I’ve measured the garage, and it will fit, so there’s no excuse now. Apart from money!
Hi all Not am Aston but my neighbour has asked me to help fit his Carbon Aero Kit to his 570 McLaren over the weekend. He’s under the illusion I’m the font of all knowledge (which I’m not) though fairly practical. Does anyone have any tips or experience? The thought of drilling into the bodywork fills me with dread, though he’s fairly relaxed about the whole procedure
Yeah, I saw that. What a beautiful machine that DB11 is…. I remember being at Almeria and Aston Martin were testing the DB11. Not sure if it was a prototype but it was lapping 1.35’s I was timing them on my phone whilst having a well earned beer outside the cafe… Really nice, approachable blokes too. As it was all pre release they couldn’t tell us too much…
My biggest "tip" would be be to make sure he decides where to drill each hole and then make sure he drills it himself.
tbh they’re generally pretty good if you don’t buy a crap one. it’s like anything, you can buy a 30k r8… but you really shouldn’t
I'd only buy from a main dealer, with at least a 1 year warranty, but found out earlier that all DB11's come with a 5 year service plan included, which puts my initial running cost fears aside.
I was going to drive to my local AM dealer today, but went out on the bike instead. I’d like to chat with them about which models are sought after, and won’t drop like a stone in value. Not that I’m buying as an investment or anything, but would like something that sort of holds its value. Maybe DB11 AMR, or DBS???
The new gen dbs is a phenomenal car. they’re becoming an appealing price as well. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/22591442...hw0TVajQka&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY If I was going in for that money I’d go a bit more and get a Ferrari F12 though personally. my friend has one and it’s a truly fantastic car
