  2. Where did you book the chunnel tickets mate? I looked today and the only times given are hourly, nothing as precise as 20 past or 20 to the hour? (10am and 1800 were the closest I could find, at about £80 for both)

Are you out this weekend bradders? Noticed recently you're trying to get people out over the weekend - I'm planning a brekkie trip either Saturday or Sunday. Possibly midhurst-petworth-goodwood-chichester, strong coffee and back again...

  3. When you confirm booked, ie 10-1200 slot, next stage of purchase is crossing time. Its 1020 and 1850 not 1840 as I may have said above

  4. Sunday I'm probably going to have a ride up and meet John W, but Sat may be option..altho weather looks iffy Sat

  5. The weather always looks iffy, except when I'm at work when it's always glorious!

  6. Definitely a rain check for tomorrow!
Hopefully get 5 mins to book tickets this weekend - how much did you pay bradders?

  7. £87 i think..or about that.

No bikes for me tomorrow, off out on sunday

  8. Is the price likely to get much higher than that? £60 was higher than I thought it'd be, but £90? Bugger!

Is there an intention for us to meet before Friday 22nd? Finalise /go over routes or are we leaving that for the train ride?
Sunday morning looks okay for a ride - I'm going to try and get a a few hours in the saddle! Need to get bike fit for August!!

  9. You snooze you lose! Whats £25 in the scheme of things...a chinese takeaway and a pint while you wait ;)

  10. I'm out most weekends, so easy sorted, Pete is a seasoned traveller and trust he knows where he's going, he's no slouch so should be ok. Pete also lives SE London way I think so not local to us

  11. I suggest meet up at Westenhanger Services (Junction 11 on the M20) Shell petrol station at 9.00am on Friday 22 August, then go together to the tunnel terminal nearby. Yes I know where I'm going, I have ridden these routes a few times before. Plenty of time for discussions on the train and nothing else to do.

  12. I was fortunate enough to meet Pete a few weeks ago (and Dave) and he had his Road atlas so I have an idea of the route, but was a lot to take in.

  13. Are those the services with the maccy d's?

  14. I have a satnav on my phone which I will try and set up with the route Pete mentioned, but I will only have that incase I lose everyone!

  15. Also - should be seeing my mate tomorrow so hopefully he's had time to arrange leave.!

  16. Fine with me Pete

  17. I'll colour-photocopy some spare copies of the paper maps of the relevant routes, mark them up, and hand them to you when we meet on 22/8. Stuff them in your pocket, only get them out if you get lost. No worries.

  18. Nice one Pete, thank you.

  19. Booked! :)
These were the only times closest to the ones Bradders mentioned that were available....but should have no problems getting on with you guys..?!
