Also - hotel noss had no vacancies when I came to book...they may have had some cancellations though?

@bradders - am packing some wax strips just in case! Prior preparation and all!

 

I have stayed at the Hotel Noss before, and they definitely have a secure garage underneath the hotel - I have parked my bike in it. And if that garage gets full up, there is the use of another garage 100 metres away. 'Figaro' on here has parked his bike there as well.

 

Not sure what my hotel has to offer? Would the Noss allow my bike in with yours do you reckon?

 

The good news is that the Nurburgring are having another motorcycles-only day in late August. The bad news is that it is on 26 August, just after we get back home.

 

Worth a shot. Herr Noss is quite helpful, as I recall.

 

My packing is underway. Waterproofs for insurance but I'm hoping we might not need them ;-)

 

What is it? Tank bag/tail pack/rucksack/combination?
My mind is still not made up??

 

Lockable topbox and panniers. Of course.

 

I'd go with a tail pack if I could but even if I could find a way to attach it I reckon the D16 would melt it ... so I always use a rucksack.

 

I have issues swinging my leg over a tail pack - don't want to be doing the hopping mount at every stop so may opt for rucksack and tank bag!

 

I think the hotel should have housekeeping staff to clean the room after you leave mate...

 

I will have plenty of room and could carry some of your stuff in my pannier if it would help.

 

Thanks Pete - I'll take you up on that - it will be a big help. My bike is uncomfortable enough on long journeys even without the added discomfort of a rucksack!

 

I can probably cram most of what I need into the panniers, so if your rucksack will fit into my topbox we'll be good to go.
