  1. I think all those nasty ducatis on the grid caused Fabio to crash…

  2. Christ, don’t set them off….

  3. The best race of the year for me as we'd overtaking what a surprise, brilliant for Ducati & number 63, gutted for Miller.!

  4. Great race :)

  5. Looked like he was trying too hard on the brakes early on in the race. Yamaha will have to find more power for next year.
Ducati, Ducati, Ducati everywhere  …. I did have Bagnaia down for the win, Rins though…what a ride. I did not expect to see a Suzuki rider on the podium, never mind winning.

  7. I don’t know why you do this to yourself , who honestly cares?

For the record I have him down for the title next year purely because he will consistently do what he did today :)

  8. Another 40 thousand odd crowd today btw. Even after three years of no gp in oz that’s not great is it?

  9. FQ had no choice, he had to push harder when those pesky Doocardi’s kept sailing past him down the straight. Brake harder/later blah blah… and we all know what happens next. But yeah, Yamaha need to squeeze out a bit more poke…

  10. I usually put Yamaha's performance down to being an IL4 but Suzuki won, though Mir was 18th.

  11. Apparently they're in talks with Ducati for shoehorning that powerplant in their chassis.:D

  12. I think that won't be far off the norm at PI, it's nearly 2 hours from Melbourne, not much in between, not many places to stay on the island, and it's cold this time of year.

As for the race, definitely race of the year that one, no idea what Alex was doing and luckily for Jack he got away lightly, pity as Jack was tearing through the field and could have easily been on the podium. I wonder if Jorge was waiting for Pecco as he slowed right down which ultimately led to some great racing, but I'm sure he could have pulled away.

Fabio, head gone, his early mistake ultimately meant he was having to push and push a little bit too hard, Pecco for once did the right thing and just took the points to lead by a nice margin with 2 to go.

Bastianini, I thought he was coming but didn't quite get there????

Marquez, great ride from him, Honda must be happy, he did well to Qualify by getting a tow of Pecco on Saturday, it would have been interesting to see where he was pace wise without that tow and qualifying position, and where he would have been in the race based upon that. Undoubtedly he's back and by far the best Honda rider by some margin.

  13. Imagine if he had a decent team mate? Same goes for FQ.
    2023 is shaping up nicely.....:)

  14. Im wondering if yamaha might sack Frankie if his performances continue and Cal could make another earlier return next year.
Hes been bloody great tbf to the old boy!

  15. I would like that slot allocated for Jake Dixon in a season or two from now, not a yesterday's man like CC.!:)

  16. Marc declared after clasificaciones, thanks to Pecos wheel I have this good position, without maximum possible was probably 5 or worse…
Ducati has good pilots but no “champion” at the moment in there team, The champion is the Ducati!
The evidence is, the Ducati drives who has scoring top 3 in 2022.
    Zarco
    Miller
    Martin
    Bagnaia
    Bezzecchi
This is just possible having an superior bike,
In the championship there have never been or is more then 1-3 real champions at same.
What we have to do is take of our hats in favor for the manufacture and team strategic putting a big amount “good pilots” at same time at there bikes.
    Just facts

  17. To be honest, Cal is and would continue to develop that bike, all the yam riders have zero experience of what other teams bring to the table, the old boy knows his stuff and is still bloody competitive, I think him developing the bike with 3 youngsters racing could be a master plan for Yamaha as they are not exactly setting the grid on fire as it is and haven’t for the last couple of years. He’s not exactly crashing that bike like he did on the Onda.

  18. I bet fabio would have taken yesterday mans points haul this weekend!!

  19. I ask a fried of mine who works for KTM motoGP team why Suzuki leaving the championship,
He explain, the owner of Yamaha/Suzuki is Toyota group and they have taken the decided now on Suzuki will not build more RR road bikes, just naked and scooters as this is the best profit, Yamaha is who will go on making sport bikes.
Therefore there is no reason why Suzuki racing any longer…
I feel it’s a bit sad not seeing any more GSXR in the future…

  20. The Yamaha needs a new engine. No amount of development riders can deliver that for them.
