What's the difference between the gp1 and gp1r? There's loads if variants listed in AR website but no pictures. There's round and long and short available too - I take it the one pictured above is short? I think it looks quite good so looks positive for other manufacturers efforts which will hopefully be available in the future

That's a lot of cash for what it is. Looks like something they knocked up in an afternoon with bits left on the shelf, IMHO.
How about buying a can, bolting it where you want it, then getting a link pipe made. Did that when I put a 2:1 on one of my bikes and only had manifold. Cost was £250 inc can.
There is someone close to me that can make link pipes. @Exige knows of them. This might be the way to go. Buy a can and have the link made.
I'd be happy with a standard Akrapovic like fitted on the aprilia rsv4, I think they look superb! Or something like the Akrapovic on the r1, sorry, just think the 'GP look' doesn't really fit that well. Would rather hear a nice tone through a Akrapovic than just noise. As others have said if it retains the cat and one silencer it probably won't be too bad
Austin replied to my emails quite quickly. They now have described the pipe as being able to drop 20mm. Its done on the concentric of the pipe. I should have asked for one as a tester.

Discount on the bike because of ugly pipes or discount on an ugly pipe? I was in BMW dealers a week ago and they had the RR sitting. I would have one, but I just like Ducati, ugly pipe and all. Someone has to love the ugly runt. Congrats on the bike, definitely look the part. Enjoy!
I seen evos bike and I think it looks stunning in artic white I think it's called. I'm not sure about the Austin type pipes and any I've seen fitted on other bikes are always horribly loud. I'd look towards a second hand termi from a 1299 if these fit ?
