  1. BT comms crying into their microphones when he fell off

“He smelt the win and crashed trying”

And therein lies the problem. In what world was he ever going to win that race lol.

Should rename it to myopia sport, copyright @expatjack

  2. The gap to 1st and back to 3rd would have anyone else in get to the finish line mode.
Tbh, each time you think he has learned ....the old Marquez resurfaces.

  3. Second is losing to Marquez.

  4. Given his comment on the rostrum, querying race control’s decision, plain stupidity IMO. Pecco’s race pace was IMO, race winning, fair and square. Did anyone else see the shot of Pecco’s sister sitting next to his wife in the garage ? They could have been twins :joy: Andy

  5. How much of the lap could you see from those seats?

    Would you sit there again?

Whats it like getting round to the higher points round the back of the circuit?

  6. God even I found that boring today lol.
Saved by a very good moto 3 race and Dixon nabbing another podium.
93 looked majorly pissed at the end lol.
His mistake or another technical excuse incoming I wonder.

Hodgy mentioning how wrong it would be for Chantra to get a moto gp ride but mentioning Joe Roberts in the same breath will always have me confused. Jake’s only 30 odd points behind him in the championship and by far more the in form rider.

  7. We had one of the best seats in the house imho. Right opposite the podium.
We didn’t venture right round the other side as it was just too hot in the blazing sun.
It’s been a brilliant experience and kicks Silverstone experience into touch many times over, imho.

  8. There was a screen right opposite so we could see what was going on but like most tracks you could see the dip into the last corner and all the start finish straight and that was it.
The setting is just something else stuck on the edge of the mountains and with the Red Bull involvement we had Red Bull jet fighters, helicopters and propeller planes doing stunts before the race.
Just a special memory to savour.

  10. The one thing I can’t get my head around is the contract rumours and agreements for next season.
Firstly Aldeguer, 20th today and signed up for MotoGP. Ducati must surely be looking at terminating that. If not on ability, definitely on a can’t be arsed attitude this season.
Secondly is Chantra replacing Nakagami. He’s 10th in the standings so not even pushing the top riders in that class. Maybe with Nakagami they’re going nowhere, they can’t attract a top rider so just want a young test & development rider?. As Hodgy said, surely a passport move.
Finally Ogura to Trackhouse in place of Roberts.
I don’t think any of the above are going to excite as much as this years rookie or bring much to the series

  11. Sadly not an exciting race , MM made it more interesting by actually overtaking other riders and was fasted on track. Just does what MM does and has issues caused often by his own making. But it makes for great racing.

Peccos bike gets off the corners much faster than Martins bike , maybe Ducati have turned the wick up a bit so Aprilia don't have a number 1 plate.

  12. Jorge had a hand injury (cut his finger in the shower lol) and apparently was making it harder to launch the ride height device which i suspect is the more likely reason.

  13. Bike park is opposite the entrance. For 15€ you can hire a big cardboard box and put your stuff in it so it’s secure for the day. Girls running the ‘biker wardrobe’ as they called it were very easy on the eye too.
As an experience I think Austria would be hard to beat on the MotoGP calendar.
If you are staying in hotels though book up early as they get booked and expensive very quickly.
I didn’t ride here and travel on the local trains is very easy and they do a continuous free coach run from the nearest station to the circuit. About a 15 minute drive.

  14. Brilliant, thanks for all of that. We’re really looking forward to it. I’ve heard they’re quite tight on noise restrictions, have you any experience of it or any problems?

  15. It was easy to see Pecco’s bike was faster…

  16. I didn’t hear any loud exhausts at the event but there were a lot of police about so I wouldn’t think anyone wanted to grab their attention.
Germanic countries seem to have a very different take on rules and regulations than the UK. Generally if there is a law then 99.9% will follow it by the book.
I know in the Tirol area there are very strict rules on the mountain passes in summer.

  17. Presumably they don’t want you setting off avalanches with your full termi exhaust system :joy:

  18. Looked like his starter gadget didn’t engage so he couldn’t get off the line quickly

Interesting take on the Thai rider being chosen to ride for the tank team and their main guy saying it’s because they want to be a global brand hence Roberts was overlooked.
