Well I thought I was the oldest here, but as I'm not.................how about this for being the earliest on bikes..........? Pity it can't be used to pull the average right down..... AL
43 and picking up my 4th Ducati on Friday. 13 years on 93 M900, 3 years on 996s, 14 months on S2R, how long on Mutley is anyone's guess.
Cheers lads. you know your getting old when the theme present is yet another witty mug still, can't complain, it's a dry day for once so I think a nice bit of scrambled egg, a coffee and then politely fire up the Rc8 at 8.30 to give joy to the neighbours before heading out for a spin with my best mate. dont worry, it'll be a ducati next birthday
at the risk of this thread starting to go off topic..... Thanks mate to be honest though, any ducati owner who likes the big twin sound can't help but love the RC running the Akra, loud isn't the word and the popping and flames on the overrun just top it off nicely
Have to say I think the RC8 (or at least the RC8R which I've ridden) is an awesome bike. Fantastic handling and goes like stink. And I love the looks. But its too plasticky for me. It lets the bike down badly IMO. Otherwise I might have bought one.
This is my Dad doing his bike training for the RMP, hes the one sitting on the bike on the left, its 1954 and seeing as im still swimming around his nut sack at this point does this make me the first on a bike for this post ?
