  1. working 80 hour weeks seems to be working for me...........enduring the tosh of a multi national corporate project

  2. you're paying the entrance fees then ;)

we gotta race next year, been messing about too long this year!

  3. Good luck Paul. Getting into shape over the winter is pretty hard as the body will automatically try and store energy to keep you warm. A good exercise plan and the right food and you'll see results pretty quickly. Wishing you the best :)

  4. I got on it earlier this year and have been happy with the results. On 1st July I had a weigh-in and set myself a challenge to see what I could do in 3 months. At the time I was 85kg and 33% fat.

After 12 weeks I'm 81kg was down to 21% fat. In total I have lost 4kg but I've put on 7.5kg of muscle meaning I've lost 11.5kg of fat.

I'm aiming to get down to 15% fat....I know the next 5 or 6 % will be harder but it's a goal! I've cut out carbs and refined sugar (other than alcohol), kept a food diary (surprisingly helpful) and have been at the gym 3/4 days a week. Hard work but there's an element of pleasure when you know you're getting stronger and loosing weight.

    Good luck @bradders

  5. How are you working out your fat content?

Those who know me will know im a fairly big chap. at 6'3, I weigh around 97-98kg, but would be interested in finding out how much is pure lard

  6. Stand on one of those body composition scales. Gives you weight, muscle mass, fat, hydration and visceral fat (the stuff around your organs). You can then monitor your progress...... Don't do it too often though as it takes time to change.

  7. Afraid not. Fizzy water and tea.
Unfortunately I never mastered European drinking. I was firmly of the Anglo-Saxon school where wine is drunk by the bottle, not the glass.
I'm happy to stick to the fizzy water. On special occasions I'll add a slice of lemon.

  9. I hardly drink at all. An average year = 20pints of Ale and 1/2 bottle of Balvenie

  10. A big bag of whizz and a 2 weeks in Ibeza is a good alternative...

  11. Call yourself Jockinese? You do still eat battered and fried confectionery though, don't you? :)
