Badge Residue Removal - Advice

  1. Which is what I did with the old one Robo, used fishing wire and came off easily. Why don’t people do stuff properly ?!

  2. Looking at it again, the surface under the decal looks to still have clearcoat on it (shiny). So maybe the badge was fitted and painted over for some strange reason, the clearcoat that has been removed would be the stuff applied with the decal, possible if it was non standard. This would explain the lower adhesion threshold of the material applied at the time too. Why the hell you would do this, I can't imagine. o_O

    Anyway, you could try and flatten around the edge with some 1500 paper and see how it looks after polishing back up. I fear you'll always have 'an edge' though. :thinkingface:
     
  3. If I need a spot repair anyway, may be worth a go :upyeah:
