Bank Holiday Ebay Scam

  1. At least you spotted it in time, and good you shared the experience. You can’t be too careful

  2. If you're buying stuff on the web, watch out for a company called Temu, I think it's a scam, you pay for stuff, they say it's been lost by the courier but not to worry as your account in the app ( I haven't downloaded the app) has been credited, IE they don't refund your money

  3. Also beware of Etsy because unlike, say Ebay, payments are made direct to the retailer who is just hosted on the Etsy site.

And not all retailers are scrupulously honest....

  4. I have had some cheap suit carriers I ordered from Temu just up yesterday. They only cost £10 for 4, as just wanted cheep covers to keep the spiders out of my leathers in the garage. They updated me with packaging and Evri tracking number. My experience was OK with them, but 1st time using and only wanted cheap tat stuff. Truspilot is not very complimentary about them.

  5. That's good, problem for me is that rather than refund my money, they've credited an account that they've opened in my name on their app, I don't have the app and will not be downloading it, so I'm out of pocket

  6. Sensible, I'd rather be out of pocket than downloading lord knows what that may be in their app...

  7. That's good, problem for me is that rather than refund my money, they've credited an account they've created in my name on their app, I don't have the app and don't intend to download it
I've complained to pay pal, I'm hoping I'll get a refund that way

  8. They want you to to download the app to track orders etc. I did not bother and doubt I’ll order anything from them again.

  9. Got my money refunded through PayPal, so all ends well...
