IMHO, All that I have found beneficial, is the addition of some crash bungs, R&G, or Evotech being my preference. I also fit spindle + fork protectors, R&G likewise. I don't like the look of crash bars in any way, so have not fitted them, although I do appreciate that some riders do like them. You pays yer money, etc....
I got crash bars fitted after a no speed drop resulted in a small scratch on my bike's "body parts". I actually liked the way they changed the look of the bike.
