  1. yeah, Jason i think. His bike was in Fast Bikes a while back :)

  2. and the dash us getting sorted by Ducati. It was a DB screen which caused it and tbh, that screen is a waste of time anyway. Its marginally taller, but cheaply manufactured and you can't fold the mirrors in... Oh, and it melts stuff;)

the manufacturer was actually Zero Gravity. I have one on my race bike and think that's crap too. No idea why they are so popular... The wonders of a cool name eh ;)

  3. If you go down the dp screen route you cant fold the mirrors in either, well you can but it scratches the screen.

  4. When I changed my screen I looked at various manufactures as I require the mirror to fold to get through the gate at the side of the house and found the MRA db fitted easily and the mirrors don't touch the screen

  5. And another case of a double bubble screen doing the damage!

Will people believe me now?? ;)

  9. no prob, down side to being popular i guess. i don't watch them really but no problem with the guy.

  10. Well, I don't give a shite. You can tell by some of his manoeuvres on the road he is a little inexperienced. Don't get me wrong some of his stuff is utter bollocks IMO but he is very entertaining.

So a few manufactures want to use his success! Good luck to him I say. Spank TMF's as hard as you can for as long as you can.

    Keep entertaining.........

  11. he can ride a bike on track fellas, so isn't slow by any means.

  12. If I was in his shoes, I'd be hammering it hard for what I could get out of it.

  13. Baron is a good guy. Regardless of where he works, I'm sure he puts a bloody shit load of effort into making the videos and many people are entertained. I definitely enjoy them - there are no better videos about bikes in my opinion. And that includes TV, press etc. I'd rather watch his honest reviews than learn about dull facts that mean fek all to me, rake/trail/head angle or whatever you might read elsewhere. So why would a manufacturer not want to get him on board?

He may not have been riding as long as some, but lapped me at Brands when we were there. I don't think he's ever hidden the fact he's not a long time rider - there was something I read about him saying that he passed his test in 2009 I think.

The first time I met him at Honda in Farnham we went for a little ride out. 10 minutes later I got a hole in my radiator on my new Blade which then leaked coolant everywhere. He hung around for hours with me as I was stranded in the middle of nowhere waiting for the AA to arrive. Legend as far as I'm concerned :)

    Rob.

  14. sounds like sour grapes to me

he entertains people, not all the people but enough, who cares if he makes a few quid from it?!

  15. Good luck to him. He's discovered a niche to exploit.

  16. As opposed to what though? Paid reviews by manufacturers to say good things? Full hospitality and euro trips? I reckon more truth comes from him than most of the reviews that we read elsewhere.

  17. Didn't he buy the 899 though? With his own money? And some people (my self included) only do 3-4k miles a year, he might do 25k a year so his experience will grow rapidly. Tbh I think he is better than 90% of the people throwing videos up on YouTube.

  18. If i had an 899, a 1290 sUPERPUKE and a pikes Peak to choose from having spent a lot of time and effort producing and editing videos for no-one in particular then I would be a pretty happy bunny. I enjoy his videos because he seems to love riding jizz machines and the fact he paid for the 899 out of his own pocket only reinforces that. Let's face it, most of us would love to be in his position.

  19. actually now its been said, maybe its his lack of experience, and therefore still excitement of bikes, that makes him more appealing to bikers and non bikers alike

  20. Yeah, maybe what he should do is some videos about his riding experiences etc and map out his experience up to what he rides now. He certainly rides with plenty of confidence which is good.
