That sucks mate... my 900ss got nicked and then set fire to (when the cvnts couldnt get the chain off (kids probably) about 7 years ago and i still aint over it... Good luck with the insurers and dont let it put you off biking..
Sorry to hear about this. We have had 3 guys steal a 5 hr old Vespa and a couple of helmets in our shared garage. The used a fireman's key to access the garage with no noise. Hope you get a nice pay out.

Sadly true. They get about a grand for a newish sportsbike. As we know, our bikes are worth more when stripped down to spares than they are in one piece.
Just read this, sorry mate i'm gutted for you- thieving barstuards nicked my brother in- laws 1098S last year from Aldgate police did not even bother to look at camera footage from a local club which was pointing down to the bike park! when his duke was nicked. i, m glad you and the misses are ok it could have worse.
The cops couldn't give a shite. My 999S was worth 8k when it was nicked. I got a case number from them for insurance purposes, not even a visit. The underwriters sent thier rep round (ex cop) to investigate me and the scene. I had to satisfy him that I wasn't 'at it' and it was a genuine case. All went fine and dandy and I got paid out, but not before a few sphincter twitching twists and turns.... A couple of weeks later I get a survey thing from plod. I remember questions along the lines of 'fairness and ethnicity' ffs.
Sorry to hear about your bike being stolen, my 1098SF was pinched on Monday so i know how you feel. I do think everyone gets caught eventually, so i live in hope.
