I can absolutely clarify although I have already done so in my post #14. The 0ptimate 0-47 adapter connects to the DDA (diagnostic port). This port is very low amperage. It can most likely handle a trickle charge as you are using but the SAE cable you are dangling invites an unsuspecting user to connect a high amperage current such as heated gear or a fast charger. Consequently something will go PooF! I think the Optimate 0-47 adapter (which BTW I have on my Monster and previous Panigale) is fantastic for adding a USB to the bike. However, for charging and other higher amperage applications, it's best to have an SAE cable connected directly to the battery.
battery tender power plug on right side, threaded down to pillion foot peg bracket, and zip tied in place (arrow points to zip tie).
I have a similar cable if not identical and similarly zip-tied. However, I have it on the clutch side for a reason namely: my heated gear controller is clipped to my belt on the left side which allows me to adjust-it without taking my hand off the throttle.
nice. i use a power cable plugged into the tank bag power strip to power up my heated vest, so i have routed the battery tender "pig-tail" out the right side of the 1260s, so i can plug in the battery tender when she is in the garage.
