Ah-hah! Yes, I was having much too much fun in the 80s to be looking at Dukes of Hazard. I'd given up American soaps/cop shows by then. Twin Peaks is the only one I've seen since - on DVD 20 years after everyone else.
Pleased to say that I've never watched a US soap in my life  However I do like some US comedies like Two and a half men, Friends, The US Office etc
Just to let you all know that Archer17 is in the N and N hospital having a tumor removed from his neck :-( hes being kept in overnight but should be back home tomorrow
Well I had some fun in the 70s as well but still managed to catch Daisy Duke. Wish they would run it again. Seem to think I saw an interview with her some time last year and she has not worn well. Unlike the Ducati of the same name. Regards Steve
Well I'm sitting up, starving hungry and wish I were going home tonight! Thanks for the support and will post a bit more tomorrow. Chris
I take it wasn't a "nasty" type of tumour? I had a malignant tumour taken from my back just over six years ago. Thought it'd affect what I could ride, if I could ride ever again! But It's all fine now except I now have a hole there about 6" x4" (was 18mm deep when it was first operated on but now about 3mm - so pies do work :wink Hope everything went well. The soreness will soon pass
Hi El Toro, yes as far as I'm aware it was benign, although they are going to test it again to make sure,it isn't too sore at the moment and that's without painkillers. Should just be left with a scar but that will be hidden by my beard so I won't be scaring too many folks. Thanks for the kind words.
Are you home now? Was the op done under a local or general anaesthetic? I was in just one night, and tbh I should have been in a couple of days longer but bed spaces were at a premium at the time. Took me three months to get to anywhere like normality and prolly about a year to overcome the effects of the general anaesthetic. But the anaesthetist told me to expect that. But I'm still here
Firstly get well soon Archer ! And to your mrs m600 fab little bikes I love mine he's called Hector hope you pass soon x
Probably shouldn't ask this question but what the hell, I'm sure you won't be too critical, what do you all think of my avatar pic ? It was painted by my mum from a photo taken by Archer17 and is one of a series that she's doing for an exhibition just before Christmas.
Since you ask, quite hard to appreciate as a 2cms x 2.5 cms rectangle. But I bet the original looks stunning.
