Beer.

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Major, Apr 16, 2013.

  1. I rarely drink beer these days... in fact I rarely drink any alcohol. When I buy beer it's usually Corona, sometimes Brahma or Peroni.

  2. Tsing Tao

Although someone got me a fruity Rekordalig the other day which was pretty good

  3. I rearly drink also, however i have done my fair share of sampling over the years, the everyday beer a cold Peroni,

    However i do like Ales

    Coopers Sparkling Ale
    Hoegaarden
    Meantime Ale

  4. Most real beers, though I refuse to drink bottle USA beers out of a peculiar sense of masculinity. Doom seems to be in flavour currently in the pubs I go into lately. A city centre non real beer tipple would be Leffe, corona, ginger beer or gin n tonic.

Correct me if I am wrong, the drinking of corona is a habit formed by knowing that each bottle will have the same brew inside. Isn't corona only brewed and bottled in Mexico?

A lovely little mix is Crabbies and Port......... Though it can be a little overpowering.

  5. Wheat Beer for me, Paulaner and Erdinger are faves, not so keen on Hoegaarden and don't want any fruit floating in it thankyou. Always try to find a Wetherspoon even though I don't like pubs without music they sell Erdinger quite cheap so a pitstop enroute to a gig or something is often part of the plan. Not available in pubs around here so I drink lager, mainly Becks.

  6. Exactly the same here, i think too long living in Germany (17 years), with crates costing next to nothing has eroded my taste buds, like you i seem to prefer wine, used to be red all the time, but now prefer white. I don't know why???

Also i have just noticed your signature Hurah for the CRE :upyeah:

  7. At the moment I'm favouring Dark Star Espresso Stout & Westmalle Triple.

No doubt next week it'll be something else.

  8. tsing tao gets my vote also tiger beer but over here I drink bass or Guinness. mind you following a gall bladder removal followed by a blocked bile duct jaundice and two bouts of pancreatitis I don't drink as professionally as I once did :frown:.oh well.

  9. Dark Star Hophead. Harveys Best Bitter and Old Ale. Okells (of course). London Pride. Adnams Ghost Ship. That'll do for starters...

  10. At home and our local pub I mostly drink the beers from our local organic microbrewery

    http://www.thenorthcurrybrewerycouk.com/

Out and about I'll have the local brew or whatever goes best with what I'm eating - often, like others, it is wine.

  11. Tripel Karmeliet. It's taken me 20+ years to find a beer I can just quaff. This is it.

  12. don't really have a favorite, but if I did it would either be Mahou, Amstel or Hogaaden......or Bavaria 0,0 (yes, really)

  13. There are some great beers coming out of microbreweries at the moment so I often try them out when I get a chance, but my staple beer tends to be 6X :upyeah:

  14. Bitter - Timothy Taylor's landlord
Bottled - Moretti, Tsing Tao, or Becks
    Canned - Boddingtons

    Now I'm thirsty......

  15. I love that!

  16. I'm a Guinness and black girl ( polluted Guinness)
Best drop I had was in Ireland Guinness Northstar ... Couldn't get it ever again :(
