Belt to Bevel conversion...!

This is still being developed.

This kit will fit the 1000 and 1100 engine . Next kit is for the 900 and the new 800 engine . Available with black housings and polished lids or all aluminium color . Top cylinder lid will have a window , you can see the bevel gears and control the oil flow .Prototype for lid with window can be ready next week . Window will be machined from solid and the contours follow the lid radius .
And now some unexpected news . The Ducati engine with bevel gears runs completely different compare the belt drive engine . You can not hear the bevel gears at all ! The engine runs more quietly compared to the belt drive engine . The bevel gear engine has more power and more torque .Better reaction to the accelerator . In general the engine runs nicer and more smooth . I believe , the timing belt is too flexible and maybe has a flutter problem . With bevel gears the timing is more exact .

I'm really pleased this chap is making all this effort though for many it will come down to price as to whether it will be a realistic mod to make.
