  1. Ha!.
I moved his percy stuff out of his house when allegedly he got caught out jumping ship.
No sense of humour though,he hung out of the window moaning at us for loudly telling gags while we loaded his shite..
(it was 05.30 on a Sunningdale private estate though,so he may had a point I suppose...t'was his own fault for letting road crew out into the real world)

  12. As an ex-drummer, here is my view.......

Look at what Buddy Rich did with his basic kit - no drummer of today can do it, because modern drummers don't have a clue about the basic rudiments and drum music.

Ginger Baker understood and practised the rudiments - I know that for a fact because he personally taught me some.

Keith Moon was told he would never be a drummer, but look at what he did and I know why - he didn't just keep time, he played the music as well - that's why his breaks occur while Daltrey is singing, not while he is quiet.

'Modern' drummers are all about clicky thump, speed and thrash - all muscle, bouncing in their chariot (note: not a stool), sweat and fuck all technique - watch the speed of their arms and biceps - absolutely no need for it - the skill is in the wrist, particularly if the sticks are held properly.

Not one modern drummer could read drum music, I'll warrant. Military band drummers are superior to any modern drummer.

Interesting that nobody mentioned Mitch Mitchell - equally on a par with Baker.
