I've got no pictures of my other Mutley and it's Sleeting. It's slightly more modd'ed than this standard one.
We are all entitled to an opinion. I think that the 907ie is a stunner, most think it a minger, but keeps them very cheap. Most wouldn't even ride one because it's thought to be so ugly; in my opinion it is probably the most user friendly bike I have ever ridden.
the lock thread looks like one, but @chizel just uses the NUKE anytime he's in a handbag throwing or dancing around mood, just ask @Exige .
I've got two tanks and two or three fairings..... no point throwing a proper R-tank down the track. These aren't my pictures... they belong to @Chef
The pre "ie" 900ss is by far the best looking Ducati imo - simple, air cooled and perfectly proportioned. Nothing on them that's not needed. None (and I mean none) of the water cooled bikes get close.
This could break down to an age thing..... I'm 51 (and a day) and I've always loved the 916 shape, earlier Dukes just didn't do it for me. I used to have a Testarossa, Bimota and Kawasaki posters on my wall as a kid. I saw the Ducati of the time (1970's) as a bit British and by that I mean shit.
I had a Norton poster and a massive f@ck off nuclear explosion I like to think it shaped me in to the well balanced person I am today
