  1. mate, dont sell it. just been riding home from work tonight and it reminded me how nice the thing actually is... does anyone actually uses the WET mode? it feels just right if you give it plenty of revvs regardless if it is wet or not. i was thinking of doing that 41T sprocket upgrade, but after tonight ride i am not so sure. + everyone keeps on telling you how nice the bike is (which i quite like)

  2. you know what yev your probably right ,I may end up keeping it and possibly just get something else like a streetfighter or something ,its not getting given away ,I,d rather push it to the back of the garage ,and I must admit I have had some good rides on it but some not so good, and I may be getting into the ducati thing ,I bought a ducati t shirt on Saturday so I suppose its a start ,you never know I may become a ducatist ?

  3. I hope you had return to invoice GAP

  4. mate,t-shirt is not enough,i am afraid... if you want to be a real ducatist you should be ideally: 1. middle-aged. 2.balding 3.small but heavy belly.4.you should like to drink orange juice in the pubs. 5. have ducati t-shirt(you ok as you have one) 6. like to go on different ducati meets to check out someone else's bike's . cant think of any more, but i am sure there are other important criteria's , feel free to add them on

  10. IT must be them Blackpool mirrors !! Square peg round hole !!

  11. If I had the money I'd make you a offer but funds are low for a for months after a house purchase. Cheapest "s" is £15k I've seen for sale so far.

Theres a 12 plate 1199abs on eBay at £10.8k buy it now. That's the cheapest I've sen so far.

  12. If by that you mean getting my excess re-imbursed.... yes :)

Which is very unusual for me as I default to no-frills/extras on my policies 99% of the time.... but in this case an extra +-£30 has saved me >£1000

All of that said, I'm now into my 3rd call to get the cheque cut, even though everything is approved. Some things never change.

  13. This he means guaranteed asset protection, ie you pay 15k, its gots boshed, insurer pays 10k, you claim 5k off policy

  14. I love GAP insurance...Pay more money to an insurance company to insure you against your insurance company bum f*cking you!

  15. Haha! Well put! :)

  16. Ah.... so no, then I didn't have gap insurance. That would definitely fall into my "frills" category.

I had actually only bought the bike in July as a 1 yr old bike with 600 miles on the clock.... so the 12.7k they are paying out is relative to the price I paid for a used bike, not a new bike. So I actually think I've done as best could be expected in the situation.

I digress, but it still baffles me how someone owns a bike for a year and then sells it having just run it in and had its first service completed.

  17. Maybe the guy from the dealer was doing a sly one and was going to keep it for himself !!!! that is a big hit although when I bought my 1098s with 900 miles on the clock the guy I bought it from lost £9000 as he bought it new . This was me  and this was him , you win some and you lose some.

  18. Yeah me too never understood it.

  19. In my experience with the last mega low mileage bikes that I have bought it's middle aged men having spare cash then they go and treat themselves to a new superbike and soon realize that it's so much faster than they thought or the wife makes them sell it as it sits in the garage unused.

  20. is this thread a question for me ? gonzalez
