Quite like this, thankfully it doesn't get played to death on the radio or in supermarkets. Bing Crosby & David Bowie - The Little Drummer Boy / Peace On Earth - YouTube
All Christmas pop songs are dreadful, and repeated ad nauseam. I could never work in a shop at this time of year - I would go postal being subjected to Christmas cheesypop on infinite loop. Must remember to take my MP3 player or headphones for my phone when shopping from now on so I can listen to something decent to drown it out. The only vaguely seasonal tune involving a pop singer that doesn't make me want to throw up/throw something is the Annie Lennox version God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Annie Lennox - God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen - YouTube)
How about the Damned, There Ain't No Sanity Clause. Regardless of what you think of the song, what a great title!
While Shepherds washed their socks by night, all seated round the tub, an angel of the lord came down and they began to scrub....
worst for me is definitely Slade's ...can't bring myself to type it even. Not that it's such a bad song just overplayed to death, no wonder Noddy Holder is always smiling.
