A mate of mine said that they were told they are not recorded and not the business of insurance companies. @andyb have they moved the goalposts?
Perhaps foolishly I actually asked my insurers if they wanted to know about me having been on a course - they didn't. That was back in November.
Does not stop the insurer asking you the question ( or indeed any other question)and you choosing to answer correctly or not , recognising the contract is one of uberrimae fidei. No one is forcing you to use any specific insurer.
Yet you are forced to use an insurer and they pretty much all act in concert with each other ... although not in an anti-trust fashion, of course. I mean, that would be illegal. *oldforumrolleyessmiley*
I quite agree - I thought the course was surprisingly good. I expected an afternoon being lectured at by some jobsworth but it wasn't like that at all, learned a few useful things. Probably slowed me down. For a while at least...
The point is that not all insurers ask that specific question-which was the point of the post. Not some wider ranging unsubstantiated anti trust commentary. Plus a random set of typed characters-you must have slipped On the keyboard.

Don't worry, they will all be on the same page again after the next "trade association" convention. LOL. "Unsubstantiated". Outstanding deductive reasoning powers, Holmes!
My course was pretty good, and given that nobody wanted to be there and most arrived expecting a boring dull lecture I thought the presenters did a great job. In response to one attendee's suggestion that the speed cameras are purely a money making racket, they said that in Staffordshire there are only ever two cameras in operation at any given time. Still that was three years ago so things might have changed!
I've I've looked at the 'Waze' app and downloaded it. Looks like a really good piece of kit. Static and mobile cameras come up on it. When users see a speed trap they notify and it's quickly Updated onto the app. Useful. Only downside is my phone doesn't have glove touch sensitive screen, which makes it a pain in the ass. Suggest you all have a look at it though, might save you.
I always ride with my sat nav on, it has 'safety' camera sites loaded including van positions. Not hat I ever speed of course.
