I wouldn't dream of saying to find out who's they are try giving one a Sowetto necklace and see who turns up to repair it...
Ok but I wonder why they've put them up?? And I also wonder why the police are denying they are theirs??
They won't need these before long anyway... The next barmy EU plan is to make tracking devices compulsory for all vehicles - starting with fitting them in all new cars in 2015. They are trying to con people into letting them get away with it by claiming that the insurance companies want it... seeems like bollox to me. Any data sent from a vehicle can give it's position, speed, acceleration / deceleration etc, but it can't relate that to road conditions or weather conditions, so it's pretty pointless when assesing how appropriately someone is driving. Given that - who benefits? The people who want to know where you are at all times... Call me paranoid...
its good to move the cameras about keeps the shit heads on their toes.........whoever you have spoken to may not know...denying is intimating that they have knowledge and are withholding....of course they might know and dont want to disclose.... if you are taxed and insured then i wouldn't worry about it...i bet there is an increase in cop vehicles around your area just whilst the shit heads work it out... they could be traffic management cameras too.......:Angelic:
you are somewhat naive if you dont know or believe that most modern cars can be tracked already from their ecu...
Is that how the police manage to recover such a high percentage of stolen vehicles? Oh... hang on a minute...
Trafficmaster ANPR Cameras, they are used to monitor traffic flow rates. Trafficmaster supply traffic flow data to the HA as well assat nav manufacturers to tell you where the traffic jams are.
Surely this will answer that question once and for all .... BBC News - Car tax disc to be axed after 93 years
