  2. You should come down to Milton Keynes for your bin photo. Sometime this year the council, in their infinite wisdom, will abandon the black rubbish bag, clear recycle bag and small blue bin for glass scheme and give every household :-

    Black wheelie bin for rubbish
Undisclosed colour wheelie bin with a RED :upyeah: lid for paper and card
Undisclosed colour wheelie bin with a blue lid for plastic, metals and glass
Green wheelie bin for food and garden waste
    A yellow battery bag

Where the bloody hell are you meant to hide 4 wheelie bins. I’ve a good mind to recycle them.

  3. Bins for days! Only got two here currently but I can't really whine if they up it. Got room to store a huge truck so they'll suggest I have plenty for an extra bin or two.

  5. Not much been going on with Big Red lately. Had a random fella drive 2 hours just to come and look at it 'cos his dad had one when he was a kid. Offered to buy it, I said no obviously. Have a plan though so will post up if it comes to fruition.

As you like pics though I thought I'd snap one of little red in front of the big one. Not used the baby R for a couple of years so dragged it out of the air tent for MOT. Just 800 miles since its last one in 2021, a crime I feel, so this year I am going to ride it. New belts and a fresh ECU first though but should at least get a few months use out of it this year. No bin but oil tank looks similar ;) 20230603-_MLS1188.jpg

  8. One of fans has been playing up a bit and after a bit of fault finding the only thing left to do is change the ECU and re-flash with the DP map for the Termi. A bad earth in the old ECU I think. I have been using a manual work around on Fan No2 for a while but I managed to buy a (brand new in the original box) Termi half system, ECU and air filters a while back. No reason not to change the ECU as I have it on the shelf.

  9. Understood. When I bought my SS in 01 it came with the Remus DP cans and replacement ECU.

  10. Little update on the DAF thread. I have just had a practice load ready for the weekend club meeting at Pembrey. I was adamant I was going to do at least one club meeting in the unit with a bike on the back, just cos I can. As it happens I have had to use my own bike this weekend so on it went. I didn't strap it down as it came straight back off again but I will be heading to Wales in it for a few skids and wheel ups later in the week. Thankfully I have a steep garden with a raised area so loading no issue. Bit tricky getting it back down the steps rather than trying to go back up the grass but just about managed it without dropping it. I will unload and load again at the circuit using the tail lift on one of the wagons. 20230619-_MLS1192.jpg 20230619-_MLS1194.jpg 20230619-_MLS1197.jpg

  14. Just home from my first truck fest with the unit. Thankfully only a few miles from home so fuel bill not a shocker. Think I need to up my game and start polishing it a bit more. Proper pesty judging by some of the stuff I saw. Nice relaxed atmosphere there though with a broad range of people around and plenty to see and do for the kiddies. Met a few interesting folk who knew about the old units and came across an old F reg 380 so exchanged details with the owner of that. Will probably book on to do the Shepton Mallet one in September. I can see the attraction with it. 20230702-_MLS1602.jpg 20230701-_MLS1534.jpg 20230701-_MLS1451.jpg 20230701-_MLS7882.jpg

  15. I’ve just realised you’re from my neck of the woods, I saw loads of the wagons leaving 3 counties this afternoon and a lot came past my house. All looked splendid I must say.

  16. Well you'll not miss my house next time you drive past now. I had folk coming up to me at the weekend from all over the place saying they'd seen it on my drive. One fella from a firm in Devon recognised it when I parked up next to him.
