A guy I know bought a brand new Ferrari 488 Spyder. He said the factory paint finish was crap and spent another 2.5k getting it put right. Amazing. Is this a common request or is the guy nuts??
I’ll concur with @rob lewis about the McLaren paint. It’s apauling for the expense of the car. General build quality is not what you’d expect either. Out of all the high end cars I work on, Porsche are the best built from what I’ve seen. My friend who has a body shop in Leeds has just been approved as a McLaren refinisher and he’s snowed under with warranty work. Unbelievable really.
@rob lewis have you tried the spray able paint protection films yet? We’ve been doing trials with P1 Coatings. You can do color changes or add tints/pearls to the clear coats then simply peel off if you change your mind. Easier to apply than PPF and significantly quicker. Have a look here, https://www.p1coatings.com/ My friend Craig has also been using ngenco but as this is cellulose based you’d need proper extraction and air fed mask.
Hi Buddy...yep I've seen and read a fair bit on this type of protection but alas the majority of our customers actually request XPEL as their film of choice....yes its a tedious and extremely hard to lay ( we're used to this process now lol ), but the protection it provides as well as the clarity of film and its self healing properties we stick with what we know works.....and works superbly.
We are still not convinced by it as good as it is, there isn’t a big enough market for it at the minute to outweigh the investment.
WOW...my brother had one in the day....British racing green....with overdrive....was lovely....yep sure i can do yers....it'll cost ya tho!...
Double speed is better....if yer wanting a top ceramic wax then Angelwax Enigma....but its £180.....honestly for the price 2 coats of BHDSW is unbeatable buddy...
