  7. Managed to get paroled on Monday only to have that cancelled after we had ordered the car. They wanted one more blood test, so that they had three good ones.
They were going to keep me in for one more night for that!

  17. Looks like I might have to go back in.
I cannot walk in any way. As my left knee and possibly ankle have other injuries that prevents any form of support when walking. Moving upright consists of a sort balance then a shuffle. I can only move 4 to 6 feet over 10 minutes or so. I've managed to get upstairs with no chance of getting down.
I think I'm going backwards in terms of recovery.
This morning I'm going to talk to the hospital people today.
All of this is not fair on my wife Emma, who is due for a medal. We've been married less than a year and what a year!

  18. Sorry for this setback, Paul. I can imagine how disappointing this is for you.

I can only offer that this is simply a bump in the road (really, no pun intended) on your way to recovery. Your ambition to go home clearly outweighed your talent for repairing broken bones (too soon?) but you will get there.

On the plus side, there's the opportunity for bed baths from a different woman every day (don't read this, Emma).

  20. Sorry to hear that things aren't mending as quickly as you'd hoped (there by the grace of God and all that). These things do take time. Be patient. :)
