Beds. We've cleared a sizable space in the lounge ready for a bed. Note in one of the first floor bedrooms we have a fashionable sofa bed. It is neither comfortable as a sofa or a bed, but it does look good. Long ago we agreed to replace it with a good double bed. Any helpful advice on the best place to buy a bed (from stock). Models or good value deals? We don't need storage except for cat hiding places. Would prefer the type without any shin damaging potential. Some design where you can sit on any of the three sides (no base board). Mattress type...we think the memory foam isn't always a. Good idea. Please help with you hive minds.
Not the humour line I was expecting us to take, but then these things aren't always black and yellow.

Sounds like standard duvan bed will do for your needs. Cheap too. Memory foam may be good as you won't be moving a lot. Will aid you in not getting sore from laying too long. My memory foam pillow is awesome.
Memory foam is too hot. You'll get the dreaded bed sores... I made a base out of old pallets, very cheap however a bit dangerous from a splinter/old nail perspective...
