  7. For the record.

I'm currently on 300mg of Pregablin per day to dull the nerve pain.
This helps me push forward each day.

I've managed to put on 2 stone of fat, having lost 3 stone since the accident. So all the muscle has gone.
Someone has attached a big momma's arse in place of mine....it wobbles!

Since just before Christmas I've been able to hobble without crutches.
I've been climbing steps and ladders, stiffly. I can drive a manual car / van.
I'm sure I could ride a motorcycle again now, but I won't until I'm back to full strength.
It takes a good 30 minutes each morning to get that leg moving.
My left hand and wrist remain stiff and weak, with restricted movement,...to be improved.
One of my lungs has a permanent 30% reduction due to the dent from the compound broken ribs.
I noticed I'm getting out of breath easily, but that could just be I've turned into a fat unhealthy mutha.

On Saturday both Andrew and I did our first full days work since 14th August.
We have 8 ruggedized cases we use to transport our tools, each weighs in at around 35Kg. This is currently both our maximum lift weight. Each had to be sorted and re-stacked in the van. At present I believe we are working at 1/4 to 1/3 normal speed. Before the accidents we regularly lifted 70-80 Kg units solo and 140Kg to 160Kg units together.
We are months away from being able to do that again.

At 7pm I passed out from exhaustion.

2016 will see us both working 3 day weeks with Physio on the off days.

    Seriously.

  10. Congrats on your progress mate. I can remember back in 2012 being on pregablin and copious other things and had some very strange side effects. Keep on the up mate and you'll be sorted in no time.

  12. Yep..I managed to go cold turkey on the Oxycodon back at the end of November when my useless surgeon removed the floppy fixator.
Oxycodon (twice the strength of Morphine) was strange.....sort made me into a person who would go back over your old posts and add drama queens and face palms everywhere....but not any more.
Anyone else acting like they are on drugs?
:punch: :Rage: :Hurting: :Arghh: ;) :Finger:  :Muted:
