  2. Still no free road tax for the newer bikes then.

  3. Downvoted

Motorbikes use petrol and it is necessary to stop that horrible smelly petrol stuff entering everyone's favourite city, our beautiful London.

Also, it means MPs on bicycles will be safe and sound and better able to classify people's social standing on-the-fly.

  10. It's somebody flying a kite. Anybody can put forward any kind of proposal at any time, and all kinds of propositions are made all the time. Most of them never see the light of day.

It is only propositions which look like becoming government policy which are at all interesting. And this one has a long way to go before it reaches that stage.

  11. no need,

  12. No parking charges, no road tax and no MOT on any of my bikes and they are all road legal. Why? Because I chose to move to France for the biking weather, tough life.

  13. Ther goes the entire capital's quick delivery systems, ie couriers.

On the plus side, bike theft will fall by 80% too

  14. Amended for you

  15. my 2003 multistrada has a cat the barstards

  16. My wifes bike had a cat but we removed it so that she used less fuel and polluted less! Same thing worked a few years ago when we de-catted or BMWs.

  17. point of order, it will produce more co, which is poisonous, fitted with cat it will produce less co but more co2. not poisonous but is a green house gas.

  18. So is that good or bad Fin ?

When I fitted a Booster plug to my last bike (BMW equivalent to Fat Ducs) to richen the mixture the bike actually used less fuel due to increased rideability. The lean burn engine designed to pass emissions control regulations under strict conditions was worse in the real world as a result of those regulations.

  19. I'm happy with that as long as I am using less fuel.

  20. good question? in the good old days of two gas testing co +hydrocarbon ppm. i used to adjust to produce maximum co2
carbs where always around 1.5%co injection was around 0.5-1% i found if i adjusted to maximize co2 the co reading was never within spec. but i was only adjusting at tickover but i used to get a lot of positive comments after servicing.so must of been making a difference. so yip its good that we are poisoning less people but bad that that they are producing more green house gases. but the flip side if its running better its more efficient so my answer is...
    feck knows.
