  4. Very true. I would have moved mine the same way if we hadn't had these stands kicking about at work.

  5. but in saying that, that is a nice bit of kit you got there, did you make it up yourselves or was it bought ?

  6. The gaffer had half a dozen made for carting his race bikes about. They are good, very simple to use and one man operation. Last year we were with Kawasaki and had to sometimes take them down to msv in tonbridge. We sometimes had 2 or 3 bikes in a van and never had a problem using the stands. But he's just bought 2 new R1s. They are being prepped up near Newcastle so won't have to travel too far

  7. Don't know. The M1 is as bad, probably worse than the M62. Those road works are never ending. Thing that pisses me off is that when you drive through the road works at night, when they should be working, you'll more than likely see a maximum of 5 working. It's just bollocks...

  8. Looked into hiring a trailer for the day, however at present Enterprise are doing Transit size vans £20 per day. It'd cost that for temp. insurance on a borrowed van!

  9. you may also have insurance and mileage charge on top of that,, but who would want to put their bike on a trailer in this weather !!

  10. Nope, no mileage limit, and as far as I can read no insurance cost either. The last time I had one I smashed 1000 miles on it in two days....

  11. i know its a bit late but BLD move bikes in england for 129 quid

    also moving motorcycles are excellent

  12. yep,, so did I mate and it cost me another £60, but when you are spending thousands on a nice bike what is another 60 - 100 to know that it is safe,,, go for it and enjoy.

  13. Is a £20 Transit less safe than a £100 Transit? It'll be the same mug behind the wheel regardless - me!

  14. you are safer in a transit than you are on a motorbike .. new transit is a peach to drive,, 90 mph all day and 40 mpg,, what not to like !!
