Billet ally parts

Discussion in 'Builds & Projects' started by CCRacer, Jan 11, 2013.

  1. Couldn't have said it better myself Figaro

  2. I agree and I can understand the caution some members have. If I had some to show I would've put them up by now. All the bits made for both of my brothers bikes are not on any of the pictures they have unfortunately. If I'd taken pictures with my own cameras it would've been a simple matter of looking through my archives. Anyway, a couple of members have been in touch and we'll be meeting up in person to loan parts in exchange for free bits when I've produced them.

  3. What is it you're after again?

  4. Hi Matt,

I'm after anything that can be made from billet ally or bits people want making from billet ally so I can measure them and produce some samples/production parts etc. in due course. I obviously don't own a bike (have done in past but not recently) and can't own all the bits people may want. So the offer is, loan me your bits to measure and in return I'll provide a set free of charge as a thank you. I can't guarantee I'll make the parts straight away as my day job is my only income at the moment. I have a burning desire to set up a machining business of my own and am currently putting a business plan together to realise it if everything stacks up.

As in my previous posts and possibly some of the other posts you may have read, there is an element of trust involved here that not everyone is willing to accept. I can assure you I am what I say I am and I'm willing to meet up mutually or provide assurances where necessary to give you piece of mind whilst I have your bits. If you have some bits you feel may be of interest, PM me with your email address and we can explore some common ground if you wish.

  6. I need to get a tie-rod made for my Guzzi at some point, the steel original is gash. But I don't like to have my bikes off the road so I'll get a cheap replacement part first.

  9. aw my sincere condolences...

  10. Only a simple thing to say "Whilst in hole, stop digging!" It's about time this bickering and innuendo ceased.

  11. and still you seem incapable of producing one single pic of anything you have made, you have appeared here and commented on many posts trying to be one of the crowd.
Put up, or shut up is the simplest thing to say buddy...

  12. It's you that's making yourself look sad. CCracer has already said he doesn't have any photos to show, what part of that are you having a problem with?

  13. hahaha... by trying to get someone to prove they can produce what they claim... oh you sad sad deluded fool... go rock your world and believe him...

  14. So what makes you think straight away that he's a crook out to relieve you of your money?

  15. Lets lighten this up a little.......

Can you make me a mounting to fit a 6x4 number plate to a Multistrada.........
Or an adaptor to turn rake into trail..
Or at best a 1198 ultimate tax disc holder.......

  16. Crikey. A guy offers to help out people by making parts that are hard to get and he gets a bunch of grief - nice!

Caution's are fine, but Rob's signature is even finer. "It's nice to be important but it's important to be nice" It's his forum, he sets the tone, everyone can choose whether they play or not.

Now, I need help deciding on whether to upgrade my GTi Golf to an Audi S4 or RS4 ... you only live once eh!

  17. I think there is a point in what 'restricted' said.........just maybe not in the way he said it.

I produce items generally using a manual process.....let's call them tangible items.

....I don't get any work by telling potential clients how good I am......

.....I have to provide examples of previous projects to acquire their custom.

  18. Al, couldn't agree more on having a point with the caution - that's fine. It can be done nicely though, per Rob's desire for the forum.
