  5. Bingo!

  6. I can't believe they haven't seen this coming, mind you, when has anything ever been designed to be future proof (or at least resistant) in the UK?

  7. You have to look ahead to see things coming. No point when the future means no more than five years. Things only need to be next-election-proof, then you blame someone else for presiding over the mess which you created yourself and when your turn comes around again you simply carry on where you left off. The electorate are quite happy with this arrangement, their memories are as short term as your strategic planning.

  9. Wonder if the committee drove to the meeting. Sat in a air con office, drank importer tea and then sanctimoniously made a decision. Fossil fuels are a necessity until such time as renewables take over. I do believe we can do 100% renewables but that time is not now or the near future. So this decision is just jumping on a bandwagon, its ill informed which is ironic given its a University and a tad hasty. Occasionally it would be nice if some of these people took a look out the window.

I looked at the SNP climate change page. Its full of inaccuracies, assumptions and wishful thinking. Whilst the gist is fine, they are misleading people by promising things that cannot currently be delivered. Please take it with natural skepticism Fin. Like the green party they tend to overlook the bits they cannot deal with and brush it under the carpet. Its an agenda to enable them to earn votes. Trust no political party 100% with veracity. I wouldnt trust 100% the people I vote for. However I agree with the journey we must make, some of the political parties need to come clean to the electorate. Some of us are not nearly so ill informed.

  10. At some point we will have to go to close to 100% renewables but that world will be a very different one to that of today.

  14. Ive been trying to find a way to assassinate humanity myself for years. Finally Mother Nature lends a hand. Now if we can also have a good war at the same time, everything will be perfect. Alas the only survivors will be submariners and nutjobs in holes in the american NW.

  15. have you tried breathing on them?

  17. With private dental care and all my own teeth, this option is a no go. I also tried sending them pictures of you, but alas they just pinned them on the wall next to pictures of their ass's.
