Nige just called me from The Chalfonts where it is raining. Setting off in a min from home in the dry....
It was excellent Si - only me, Peter, Phil and Ken (and no cakes) but had a quality time catching up. All set off to Newlands via Bookham where we met Jerry and Brent plus two (sorry I can't remember names but also via ISB Forum I think). Listened to TT on mobile phone(s) thanks to Ken and Peter before setting off around 1 p.m. many Ducati out and about today. Heard what is becoming a familiar sound - Ambulance hurrying up Boxhill almost certainly to aid a fallen cyclist.
really nice to see you chaps today. Shame Si couldn't make it. On the way back, I saw something shiny go past my knee, only to realise my Rizoma mirror had come off - broken through the mounting. Picked it up - no more damage so off to ProTwins for a new mount. None in stock, so I ordered the new part and bought some used 'eyebrow' mirrors to use until the part arrives. Quite like them actually, so maybe they'll be staying. also bought some lovely Rizoma fluid reservoirs...
Great to see you all today! Looks like we were lucky as it's peeing down here now and looks like it for the rest of the break :frown: Was really good to catch up with you all and meet a new Ducatisti today, Jerry, nice one Looking forward to the next meet!
Had a nice few hours or so out on my trusty steed, spending time with some really really nice people! The rain held off for us and I had an enjoyable, low calorie Newlands Burger, it did nearly slip out of the bap, must of been FREE RANGE!!! Thanks to Chris who had a little test ride on my bike and shared his results with me! I suppose this meet is gonna happen again next week as it wil be the 2nd Saturday of the month!!! Oh and by the way thanks to the guy's for not mentioning the 'Kill Switch' Cheers Phil
Mmmm burger................. Haha - no worries on the 'kill switch' Phil, as long as your cheques in the post  Hopefully this weather might blow away in a few days so next weekend will be on
Yes, that kill switch was funny! Sushi riders were looking at us in a sympathetic way - before and after the problem was found...
