Just a thought of course, when hubby brought his SV650 the speedo did not work correctly, reading way high, it had passed it's MOT in that state, apparently motorbikes do not need to have a working speedo even though they have to keep to the speed limit. The garage did sort it out, but it was an interesting lesson.
How can a speedo be checked on a mot on any vehicle ? The tester doesn't drive down the road unless it's 4wd and needs a old school brake test
I been stopped for lack of speedo but they believed my explanation, especially that I was about 3 miles from home and had GPS speedo on. He said out of all the things on road bike speedo and brake light is a must.
