British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Thatcher was a god send for the unions, it gave them someone to blame for everything whilst ignoring the winter of our discontent, collapse in the British automotive industry and the real reason why the trains were privatised, even though she wasn't there or responsible for some of those periods.

They were as much as responsible for their own downfall as anyone else.

  2. This is a very loaded argument that has worked well for the snp and it's supporters but is the equivalent of skimming a book and picking out the best bits to suit your advantage

I'm sure you can find multiple different soources but I'm going to use this one as it covers all so will be using the same equasions for all

We could be as rich as the Norwegians is the usual snp cry but it hides a few things, the Norwegians lift up nearly twice as much oil as the U.K. and their revenues are shared between 5.3 Nords and the U.K. with nearly half as much oil lifted, is shared between 66 million.

This gives oil production per capita for Norway as 313,661 per day and oil production per capita for the U.K. as 14,284.

Quite a difference when you say Norway does better with its oil than the U.K. but forget to mention they lift far more and shared between 60 million less

  3. Lets say yours is right fin because wings always is :D

What you have just pointed out is Norways oil is shared between 5.3 million and the U.K.'s is shared by 66 million.

For the snp that figure means, see Scotland could have had a good life whilst ignoring it is a resource of the whole of the U.K. which is a 66 million population and the oil has NEVER been Scotlands only because it isn't.

It's like saying, Cornwall would be rolling in clotted cream as long as no burmese were involved, A true Diane Abicus methodology if ever there was one. You crazy guys and your italian arithmatics :joy:

  5. all this assumes its shared between 66mill, its not.
all that assumes the two are comparable, they are not. the Norwegian oil sector is mostly state owned and collects its tax appropriately.
the uk sector is privately owned and given tax breaks. predictably.
as is always the case with the uk, the assets are sold for the benefit of?

  6. I know this one!

  7. in an off hand way yes, i guess you could say that. the uk rewards greed to the detriment of the majority, the majority get a lil pissed off, the uk gov say its unavoidable, the majority start looking for reasons and somewhere to point the finger, immigration-EU-Vote Leave-Weaker EU-Stronger Russia.

  11. Dude, you're delusional and I love it.

A weak EU benefits Putin and since that is the only kind of EU we are going to get, I suggest we leave the EU pronto.

I should not have to explain this stuff to you, finderman. Goat's sake!

  12. This is how it stands today.

  13. whit!, it's weaker? htf did that happen?

  14. Now this is interesting, no honestly :D

During the campaign, vlad never rung me, sent me leaflets, flooded most of the tv channels I watch, threatened me with millions unemployed or turning from the 5th richest economy to Botswana doing a live aid concert to help the U.K.. My own government did, my own media did, my own business elite did.

I don't have any social media accounts so I must have missed the millions of messages Vlad is supposed to have contacted me on, not even a christmas card, selfish arse he is.

Does it help vlad to have an unstable eu, probably so the obvious answer surely is the eu comission and project to make sure the eu is stable but on that, they are doing shit. It's not just the U.K., througout europe there are the far right growing, governments are becoming more inept and yet again, the eu continues to say they are the model for europe.

If vlad is thinking haha, it's more he's laughing at the continual arrogance of the eu commission and refusal to see it is in trouble.
