British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Martin Docherty-Hughes, snp mp to westminster for west dunbartonshire since 2015, got his politics degree from university of Essex.

  12. Someone who is prepared to leave for the sake of leaving, under any circumstances, even if we will all be worse off.

  13. Wouldn't that also be someone who took part in a democratic vote where leave gave the government the democratic majority mandate to leave so expects the government of the day to abide by the vote?

  14. Who wants to leave for the sake of leaving, under ANY circumstances? Is somebody who would prefer to leave the EU rather than stay in the EU, "extreme"?

What if we'll be better off? I've been hearing for 3 years that every twist and turn on leaving the EU will make everyone worse off, but none of it has come true or looks like coming true. Project fear MK MMCXVIII but the easily lead gobble it up. Oh and by the way, it's not about the economy. The Remain campaign tried to fight their whole campaign on the economy, the result should tell you that there is a bigger picture.

  15. That would depend on how far they would be prepared to go in "expecting"

  16. It tells me that lots of people don't understand economics

  18. Oh, how will we be worse off, I didn't believe any of that myself, was it true

  19. You didn't answer.

Is somebody who would prefer to leave the EU rather than remain in the EU "extreme"?

  20. Less French wine maybe? dunno

or in another way of looking at it, the eu is going in a direction the majority of the voting public said no thank you. Given we currently still remain the second largest contributor of the eu project, could it simply be we used democracy and the democratic vote to say we are leaving as we no longer have faith in the project

Your stance old, ignores the fact at the moment the eu 27 are as effective of communicating with the people as jaguar land rover are are keeping a car company afloat. Mays euro elections will show the true face of the eu and how it has changed.
