It is going to end up like the Oirish vote - Keep having referendums until they (the Government) get the vote they want ie: Remain. This Government IMO are the worst I have ever seen since I started to take notice of politics about 47 years ago. May is certainly the worst PM. Nothing they have done has been thought through properly. I doubt I have ever seen such a useless bunch of incompetent lying self-serving tw*ts.
Your contention as to what Leavers believed seems at best, misguided and at worst, self-serving. I have no doubt that a large number of Leavers, who wanted to Leave because they know precisely what the EU is like, had no real faith in anyone's promises regarding "seamless", "smooth", "obtaining an acceptable deal from the EU", etc. Leavers were cognisant of the disruption that *could* result and Leavers will have been as skeptical of promises of a "painless exit" as they are of "the sky will fall in" warnings by Remainers. As your your ideas of "leave regardless of the damage", this is self-referential logic. You state as fact that Leave will be [significantly] damaging and then assert that Leavers care nothing for the damage. I refuse your starting premise. You are bright enough to know better You haven't. Although after all this time, I would have assumed you'd have at least something worthwhile to add to the discussion. Um, I actually think that's *irrelevant*. Close enough?
The Donald Trump Thread called and has conceded defeat in the "Most Amount of Misinformed Stupidity" Race. Congratulations to the "Second Referendum Thread" and all the Remainders who made the win possible. : o D
ferk me. your sulking bad. chill big stuff. . if all you say about the EU is true, a big descission was needed to be had. many would of been inclined to but would of been a lil feart to do it because of the threat of what we are seeing now. do you think the promises of instant trade deals, the Norway model the extra cash ect might of been enough to sway the undecided? do you honestly think how its all panned out is what was proimissed by the big players?. if so, i think you are sadly deluded. *more shrugs*.
Not wholeheartedly. The UK has always been a bit semi-detached. I have been involved with twinning off and on. Our County Council had one person who had a tiny responsibility for twinning. The French equivalent had a whole department.
MP Simon Hoare Con (man): 'Shouldn't anyone in any party who purports to be concerned with our relationship with the EU.preserving our union with Scotland & Northern Ireland now stop playing politics & vote for her deal, because failure to do so is going to let genies out of bottles which are very much best kept corked' Interesting! @finm
I think the corks may already be out, even this forums analysis (as in depth as it has been) can't predict what will happen but for me whatever happens now will be pretty upsetting to half the population if not half the countries of the union - we are in for a bumpy ride whichever side the coin lands on
Absolutely willing to help, in your case may I suggest ? I suggest that as I clearly showed wto/free trade. Your welcome
Twinning? What a f-ing waste of time and effort that is - only suited for the pretentious types IMO (Apologies to Old Rider).
Unless it's a threesome, then twinning is little more than a pr exercise for those who really wanted to live overseas and probably offered fondue and egg nog at christmas, think Mrs Bucket
Strewth. Bill Cash is the adult in the room, at the moment. Absolutely shaming the Remoaners in the House.
Meanwhile, pygmies play party politics. I cannot wait until we leave and decent human beings start standing for Parliament again. There are just too few of them in the Commons right now.
i think its too late. the polling sugests (before any indi campaign) that in the event of this deal going through its 53% for indi. 59% in the event of no deal.
So what would you think (as opposed to want!) if GE happens, Labour win minority gov with SNP partners & have near as damnit remain under Norway/Canadaesque?
