British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. I genuinely hope that we leave on the 29th March. .....I think we'd be pleased with how fast the sky (falling in) is replaced with something that suits us better than the current EU offering.
If we extend article 50 or remove the option of a full Brexit we have no leverage at the negotiations.
At this very moment I want Trump in charge of our negotiations.

  2. The Norway option is a bit like the oke kokee, left foot in, left foot out. Some see it as a happy medium but it allows most of the things that the vote did not want to allow

Canada +++ whatever, was david davies and his team had gone through every agreement the eu had made and agreed with others, seen how many matched our wishes and then compiles a free trade/wto deal based what the eu had said to others was okay. May didn't like this so overuled him but I have a niggle that the eu put pressure on may to undermine then cause him to go. The eu agreeing with the U.K. to go forward was never there intent, it has always been to punish a member for leaving and now it looks like it has backfired, even Germany is on the cusp of recession and France under Macron created the yellow vests just in time for the european mep election

The eu's deal offered basically removes all of our legal outs and keeps us under the control of the eu

wto/free trade was always the best way out as it is like that divorce that is a clean break between a couple that remain friends by keeping the lawyers out of it.

  5. I said that we would leave on WTO terms, not that WTO starts on 29 March.

Kindly read what I type and ignore the voices : o D

Let it go, Mr National Scottishist. Your side lost too.

  10. I remember going through the wto home site and there is within it's own rules a situation where countries can declare and start under wto/free trade with initial promises that then allows immediacy to then be followed by expedient negotiations

France's prime minister today said they are investing £50 million into french ports and airports to mitigate for a hard brexit, or using my gobblydeegook translater, Macron has been a cVnt and now the brits are looking to put more traffic through belgium and holland which could cause massive issues for unemployment for calais and paris

  12. I think you are confusing campaigns El.

That picture there sir, is of a London Hipster with his micro brewery tepid beer, trying to stockpile it as he has believed the remain rumours that British beer made in Britian and from British products, maybe held up in CALAIS. In his sheer panick he is now stockpiling micro brewery beer, advocado's, kurly cale and just out of shot, putting his scrambler, back into the storage unit it spends most of it's life in :D

  18. The DUP again backed the PM, they don't agree with her deal but considering all other parties went against her, we'll Yeh.
