British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Crash out

  3. Imho, it would be highly irresponsible for the MPs to side with such a marginal public majority against the overwhelming majority of business interests and risk economic disaster.

  5. Keh? Why UKIP? How many of the 17 million people do you think previously voted for UKIP?

  9. The ERG group within the Tory Party are now being told to find their own Party and do one.

This isn't going to end well for the Tory Party.

Creating 50ft-tall Trump effigies for street marches.

    Choose wisely now!

  12. Now you really are getting delusional.
It used to be that the risk will be worth it.
Now it’s “What risk? There is no risk...”

  13. It’s time some people realised the vote was lost nearly 3 years ago - some are hell bent on scuppering a proper Brexit, hence giving us a worse deal - just so they can say ‘I told you so’
    Very very silly :bucktooth:

  14. It's taking the view that the only proper brexit is to crash out with no agreements in place that's silly.
    Any Brexit is damaging.
    No deal is disastrous.

  15. I think this maybe where you are getting confused. Business adapts within a democracy and not, a democracy adapts to business

  19. Sorry fella. I wish that was true but us getting the EU to agree to Article 24 is as likely as me getting a MotoGP contract.

The EU would have to agree to it. If it was an option that would have been the starting point for negotiations not the end point since it would offer the smoothest of transitions. They won’t allow free trade without freedom of movement. That’s been clear from day one.

As mentioned by Pilot Paul. Ducati and BMW dealerships are still trading away and that won’t change. If prices go up a few percent due to WTO tariffs people will still pay it. No one is going to cancel a Panigale in favoutnof a GIXXER for the sake of 5%
