:Hilarious:.wow, sounds just like brexit. but if we are gonna draw comparisons. and i suspect if you dug further you would find that would only apply if scotgov followed UK spending plans, paying our share of uk dedt but excludes our share of the assets. at least half the population know this, many are also actively trying to conceal it. does it include the lost figures from Scottish products leaving from other uk ports and hubs? if this country cant succeed with this in its back pocket then NO country can. with just a quick reminder that indireff has nothing to do with old disputes but just the general direction westminster has taken us with no sign of it ever changing. WITH ONLY 9% OF THE UK POPULATION HAS: 32% of the land area. 61% of the sea area. 90% of the fresh water. 65% of the natural gas production 96.5% of the crude oil production. 47% of the open cast coal production 81% of the untapped coal reserves 62% of the timber production 46% of the total forest area 92% of the hydro electric production 40% of the wind wave and solar energy production 60% of the fish landings 30% of the beef herd 20% of the sheep herd 9% of the dairy herd 10% of the pig herd 15% if the cereal holdings 20% of the potato holdings 90% of the whisky industry SCOTLAND WITH ONLY 1% OF EUROPES POPULATION HAS: 25% of Europes tidal energy 25% of wind power 10% of wave energy Over 60% of EU oil production (largest oil reserve in the EU) 33% of the EUs total hydrocarbon production WE HAVE A: 17 billion pound construction industry 13 billion food and drink industry 10 billion business services industry 9.3 billion chemical services industry 9.3 billion tourism industry 7 billion financial services industry 5 billion aeroservice industry 4.5 billion pound whisky exports industry 3.1 billion pound life sciences industry And 350 million pounds worth of textile exports Scotland also has the the greatest level of the highest educationally qualified adults in Europe. now where were we?
If there's a valid legal argument, then why not challenge? Surely that's exactly what democracy is about?
I wouldn't gloat, c n f. The Treasury forecast is that the UK coffers would be £66 billion worse off under a hard Brexit. This is the Government's own forecast. That equates to approximately an increase of 12% in the basic rate of income tax to get that money back into the Treasury.
Strange that anyone who challenges the Brexit view is anti democratic. Democracy is all about having a right to oppose the status quo position. Just maybe the Court case will win which would mean the end of May as PM and a General Election.
@chizel welcome to the world of page 6. When your sentiments were made, and the same people still make the same point over and over and over and over........like a 45 that lasts 3 hours: change the record
are you trying to prove a point by using facts , figures and statistics ??? ,,if so you forgot / omitted that recent studies show that Scotland is the most popular country / region ( OMG :Banghead: ) of britain to live in ..
Hope you are not suggesting the scots are happy to take, not admit they do and refuse to help others...
better to follow the wishes of the country. the majority dont want it there fore wont complain if it goes tits up. the torys are promoting it,labour are playing silly games along with the greens i think by trying to ban it despite knowing a ban could be challenged and possibly overturned. a moratorium while waiting for evidence cant be overturned
