British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Watching him at the moment. One minute he's pushing that people blame the decisions about the uk being made in the eu are wrong as there is hardly any eu involvement in our day to day lives, then in the next sentence saying we are so intertwined legally, in trade, and in law with the eu it's almost impossible to leave.

With Blair, the question that always pops into my mind is, who is paying him now.

  2. Just also watching Blair - he's coming across as a slimy snake-oil busted flush, oblivious to the referendum majority vote and looking after his property portfolio and corporate funding.

  8. The thing I found funny with Blair this morning is that he said "farrage and the people associated with him, are not the people to drain the swamp of British politics, they are the people who created the swamp".

I nearly spate out my mint vienetta slice

  9. Well, according to Blair, anyone who wants to leave the eu without a 'deal' first is far right.

Yep, that's where the line gets redrawn nowadays.

  10. Is that signing up to the Withdrawal Agreement, so we can begin to discuss the “Deal” before the Backstop applies: ie. the Deal without a deal, or leaving “Without a Deal” so that the agreed WTO provisions apply. Ie The No Deal with an interim deal?

  11. Reading between the lines, I 'think' he means leaving under wto, before there's a 'deal' which presumably ends in a 2nd vote, in which we remain

  12. What a Plonker Marr was in that interview!

  15. avoid brexit? which, as we both know, is pish, mostly because you have been reading the Scottish news today. and the report in the Times, of business in Oban unable to recruit enough staff because of brexit.

  16. Have you been drinking the moss water again young finial?

That part was talking about holidaying in the U.K. with recommendations/experiences in another thread and in another part of the forum. A lot of members have been happy to contribute too, some even mentioned grumpy town :D

tut tut fin, if you want to catch the big fish, you need bait bigger than a stickleback. We both know difficulty in recruitment for staff in Scotland is based on two reasons that have nothing to do with brexit.

    (1) It's Scotland ffs and
    (2) It's full of teeth grinding Scots

p.s. don't forget your dentist appointment at 3:30 pm tomorrow

  17. no, no drinking moss, but you where reading the Scottish editions today. and the Times was reporting staff shortages in Oban because of brexit today. yer fooling nobody that can look further than a tweet from farage or a headline on a red top.
you will be down to your gums around about now, no?

  18. it would seem my dear Sherlock, that you read the times more than I. I spy a secret tory
