British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. Now I am really intrigued. Do your fellow brexiteers here also think man-made climate change is a lie? You now tick two of Trump's boxes. So I assume then that part of your brexit vote was based on immigration?

  3. In case you haven't been following all threads, essentially the same people think that:
    • Brexit is good (and the harder the better)
    • Trump is good
    • Climate change, especially man-made climate change, is a hoax (to tax the rich and redistribute wealth in a tree-hugging socialist conspiracy)

  6. You are so wrong: they aren’t my ‘Fellow brexiteers’ as I voted REMAIN. I’m a very disillusioned REMAINER.
Man made climate change isn’t a lie as such, though I do believe we are not so “In Control” of the climate as some would have us believe.
Trump is an embarrassment to the US of A.
Immigration is good, necessary even, but that doesn’t mean we (As a Nation State) shouldn’t have control over who comes in. Australia have a pretty good system.

    Numbnuts yourself!

  11. |Britain has always had some control over who comes into the UK, its just they chose never to use it as it costs money to do. Go figure!

    • Brexit is good (and the harder the better) Definitely yes, think about it
billionaires could buy sub-standard lettuce from Asia for 2p (doesn't matter that is produced using childrens as labour) then sell it in UK for a good profit. EU won't tell us what to do..our farmes might go bust. But hey EU protectionism is bad....
    • Trump is good First president in many decades that is hiding his tax return. Wondering why?
    • Climate change, especially man-made climate change, is a hoax (to tax the rich and redistribute wealth in a tree-hugging socialist conspiracy) I understand Trump's reason...cannot have one standard in the US and a different one in China/India yet be compete on the same market. Is like you would ask a company to spend millions on filters whilst the competition give f'ck all about all this. However he should have put much more pressure on them instead of pulling out....
IMO there will either be: No deal Brexit or No Brexit at all....all the rest pure fantasy from Farage and the others in the same vagon.

  12. Refreshingly duke you've been honest, SOME control, not full control due to eu mandates.

Interestingly despite people like you regularly claiming most brexiteers were racists because of immigration wants, the two wants were (1) everyone applying to come to the U.K. to live, should be treated equally no matter from where in the world they come from and (2) we have a system in place where the host country (us), decides our own immigration system

Not much to ask for given all but 28 countries in the world have that right.

  13. Hang on a second!
You've gone from,"putting man made climate change in there is ridiculous" to,"man made climate change MIGHT be real"?
    In one page?
    Where's the fun in that?
I wanted to wheel out the pages and pages of graphs/scientific articles/theses/reports from genuine environmental scientists/manipulated data etc etc to show that climate man-made climate change is pure bunkum, and now I feel cheated...
If you only think it MIGHT exist ,you already have doubts.
    Bugger.

  15. Get thee to my recently created poll thread!

You can have one standard in the US and a different one in China. You put massive tariffs on Chinese goods until they get into line. But that might create business difficulties and Trump only cares about money. It's his one principle. Very American. Makes money = good, doesn't make money = bad.

  16. Which is odd given the row he is having with china is the same as the eu in that the eu and china charge higher tariffs on american goods going into them, whilst enjoying lower tariffs on goods they send to the U.S. He's asking for equality of tariffs and little more. I'm sure after much pr and cock waiving, all sides will find a compromise

Then you have misunderstood Trump. The money whilst important, is a side benefit. He likes to win in whatever he does, this time he is applying that to America plc. Oh that all countries should all have a person in charge and push their own country.

  17. It is ridiculous for you to list it along with fairies, like it is a dead cert that it does not exist. It is normal to wonder if it exists.

  18. What happens next?

Looks like Groundhog day #4 coming early in June.
May will be ousted -resign- within days of that failing.
New caretaker PM whilst Tories have a popularity contest
