British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. sounds terrible.
surely another country wouldn't do the same kind damage willingly, knowingly and with full sovereignty to their own economy and health. nah, nobody would be that dumb.

  2. Try and divert all you want fin, the money all countries pay to protect their own products, the mafia fee to the eu, is now shown to be a fraud. Irish, French, all diary, poultry and beef markets that thought they were protected because they paid a fee and belonged to the eu have just been sold out.

Judging by the articles, the Irish are starting to wake up

It would seem they are not the only ones

Question for you though fin, if we end up not leaving, how do you think this will effect the scottish beef industry?

  3. Brexiters are still hoping to bully the EU into renegotiating *a deal we’ve previously agreed to* with the threat of No Deal but it may be that they are better prepared for that than we are...

“The Port of Calais has got ANPR systems to siphon off UK trucks, and 40 hectare lorry parks as @JamesERothwell reports here.”

But of course, this is entirely their fault. They’re punishing us...

  6. if its left to the UK Gov to promote our produce, i think it will present a challenge to them. seeing as the Tory UK Gov is interfering in, and rolling back on devolution, either way, history tells us its gonna get harder for them.
What i will be thinking of that, depends on several things. if the UK remains in the EU, it will be presented as everybody's fault bar the Brexiteers. someone will have to pay.
The threat if Scottish independence is probably thee reason why brexit wont happen as planned. (god, i suggested they had a plan there)
whoever is leading the Tory party, Farage, any Brittish nationalist party including labour, seeking to get elected wont be promoting the benefits of remaining in the EU. or promoting Devolution, as its done nothing bar shine a light on the incompetence (at best) more like the sinister nature of structure of power in the UK. So, they will need to appeal to the majority where Govs get elected.
with a 10-1 majority we know where and who they will be attempting to attract, and they are gonna want blood.
They will present remainers/devolution/barrnet/SNP and their supporters as the boggy man, and the reason for all their ills. and when elected, will continue the hollowing out of Holyrood. all of which is going to increase the calls for Scottish independence.
when the call is made, and it will be, and depending on the result, that is when i will ponder the fate of Scottish Beef producers.
either way, there will be a profit in it for me.

  7. Depends what they intend to achieve? It would identify British registered trucks and cars to be subjected to interminable delays as punishment, but would allow Polish, Romanian and other EU vehicles to sail through for us to check once they arrive in Britain.

  8. I heard it was to capture witches as they try to fly in behind the lorries.

  9. It’s not being used as a substitute for customs checks.

    Silly.

But you knew that. : unamused:

  10. So what you are saying is, ANPR cannot be used to inventory goods hidden in vehicles and thus we must allow the UK to be absorbed into an EU Superstate.

    Seems legit.

  11. I understand why you are trying to divert fin, i do. being snp, the only elections you like are the ones that give snp officials jobs and the other democratic votes where you lost, you refuse to accept

however countries pay yearly fee's to protect their own economic markets to an eu management company and this management company has just sold out some of the biggest industries in europe (farming), in favour of larger industries (german auto's).

Let's say we did stay in the eu, what impact do you think that would have on scottish beef and farming?

  12. Seems dumb :p

    “EU Superstate”. TICK :upyeah:

  13. Let's never lose touch, dukeRusty : o D

  14. yip, noob. there's no better way to get attention than to start a post with a falsehood. either way, i couldn't give a flying fuck what you think. mostly for two reasons. yer a divisive, argumentative runt. hmm, did i spell that correctly? its just arguing for arguing sake.
and secondly you talk and assert in areas you have no experience in.
i told you what i think. either way, if the UK Gov continue its assault on devolution. it will get harder for any sector in scotland that can be traded away, ultimately to secure the votes of elsewhere.
as i have said before. many times. the SNP have been incredibly effective at building and selling our brand abroad. there are reasonably well off people across the globe. our produce, particularly food and drink is seen internationally as a premium, high end products.with the right people doing the promoting and shaping legislation to maintain the high standards that have become associated with our products and credentials in the more pressing areas and issues facing the planet. we will do just fine. you wont see that on the BBC or in the telegraph ect. leave it to the british nationalist partys, either way, wur doomed to accept the priorities of elsewhere where it has been proven we have no influence over.
come the day, that is when i will decide how much i care.

  15. could you explain what falsehood you claim this is?

Have the eu signed a deal with the south americas

Will this now mean the protection eu countries pay for being removed when it comes to farming as the market will now be open to a previously blocked non eu countries

could you answer what if we stayed in the eu, would be the impact to the scottish farming industry

are you calling the irish and french farmers liars?

  16. pretty much every post will start with a controversial statement. i look at the first two lines then decide if i want to go further. i generally move on.

  17. Hardly, I asked you the simplest of questions, you went into a hissy fit rather than honestly answer them, so I phrased them for a simple reply, you again continue to avoid the truthful answers as you know the questions to be based on truth also.

I get why you do not want to answer them but the facts remain, the eu has sold out irish, french and eu farmers. Not expecting you to take my word for it, that is why I included multiple sources from The republic of Ireland and France/euro news sources

Feel free to answer the questions if you want, if you want to avoid answering them then that's cool too, doesn't make them wrong though

  18. It's a deal. Hang on a minute. Maybe it's a No Deal. I'm not sure any more Lozzer :D

  19. Precisely.

Because we're not remotely ready for the clusterF*ck of a 'WTO Brexit' *from Day ONE*...

The French / Dutch / Irish have put in place some basic mechanisms for treating UK trade differently (which is what we seem to be insisting that we want? ;)).

We DO want that right?? Anybody...?

  20. It will be smoooooooooooooooooooth, chill dude :cold_sweat: don't feat the bluff, poker face, now come on
