  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  3. "The noblest prospect which a Scotchman ever sees, is the high road that leads him to England!"
Boswell: Life of Samuel Johnson 1791.

Could this sentiment possibly have influenced resistance to the use of the word Scottish for the people, or was Boswell out to insult as many people as possible to promote book sales?

  6. The term Scottish-Irish goes back to 1573

  7. Perhaps the term was later lost, along with the coffers of groats?

  8. Who lost it?

  9. Well, in May 1573 Mary Queen of Scots was slightly miffed that her cousin took her Edinburgh Castle off her, so it could have been as early as that?

  10. Wimmin, never happy about the homes they have :D

  11. Labour to call vote of No Confidence, then win a General Election, then renegotiate the exit deal, then go back to the Many for a referendum to confirm, whilst firmly (Well relatively) backing Remain.

Can’t see any difficulties there at all?

  12. Instead of Scottish Whisky, could they just call it Scottish Whiskey with no agreement, or Scottish Scottish perhaps

  13. But Mr Corbyn did not say if Labour would pursue a new deal or a further referendum if the party won a general election - or stick to its manifesto commitment to accept the 2016 result.

  14. not under the protections we have already. no.
but, i dont get all the fuss anyhoo. westmister wont sell us out...

  15. The bosses of Labour's five-biggest affiliated unions called for the move the party has made - but also for it to hold a "confirmatory vote" on any new deal it negotiated if Labour won a general election.

I’m glad that’s the disambiguation sorted?

  16. He's effectively announced, no change. He's said what he will do if the tories are running the show but not so much if there was a ge and labour got in.

He knows if he does what momentum want and the London collective, it will seek keeping the single market, keeping free trade, free movement of people, staying with the ecj, still paying in etc etc so brexit in name only, and to announce that before a possible election, will see him lose those traditional labour votes who voted to leave

  17. As far as I can tell, Labour intends to campaign the next GE as a Remain Party, then if they win, hold a 2nd People's Confirmatory Vote on Brexit offering a specially negotiated deal with the EU.

What's not clear to me is whether they are going to campaign against themselves and their Remain manifesto in the GE by offering a Brexit Deal, or campaign against a Brexit Deal prior to the 2nd Referendum in favour of remaining in the EU.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
